The Pacers have hired former Trail Blazers GM Kevin Pritchard as their director of player personnel.
Pritchard will report to GM David Morway and will "primarily" be scouting NBA and college players, as well as evaluating the Pacers roster and providing "creative ideas."

Also, they added Brian Shaw as their assistant coach, and named Frank Vogel the head coach for 2 years.

The Pacers have done some nice things.... They are still nowhere near Chi/Bos/Mia.

    Bright future.

Paul George has all the tools to be a star.

If he can somehow morph into the #1 option, Granger being the #2 option would be great.

Hibbert, Collison, George Hill, Hansbrough is solid.

No better than being a Rockets fan and hoping for a title in the remote future.

They are in good shape, not only do they have a solid front office at this point. They have a young team with a lot of room to grow in Collinson, Hibbert, George, Hansborough area all under 24 and all are big contributors. They have granger on a pretty good contract as well and lets not forget they have literally a max contract worth of free space at this point too.

I would say that Pacers have a great future if Granger is 25. But he's close to 30 so it's not about their future. it's about reality and it's not as good as it needed to

They'll need Hibbert and George to explode to make noise. If they can play near all-star level, like Hibbert was at the beginning of last season, the Pacers will be among the East's elite. They shouldn't trade Granger, he's part of a good core they can build around.

I like the Pacers team. They really played the Bulls tight for most of that series. They just lacked a good go to offense/scorer at the end of games.

Rumor is the Pacers will go after David West during free agency. West and Hibbert make a good frontline, then you add recently aquired George Hill to go along with Granger and the rest of their young talent, they will be in good shape.

*insert joke referring to Dean Pritchard in old school (cheeeeese)*

if any team in the east has two near-allstars they are going to be elite....

Pacers are doing a really neat job. I'd say better than most teams in the NBA.

I LOVE THE PAUL GEORGE PICK. HE HAS A VERY GOOD CHANCE TO BE T-MAC LITE WITHOUT THE PASSING SKILLS. and we all know T-Mac dominated when he was healthy.

Collison is a promising PG. He could definitely start on a championship team if the wing players are star-calibre wings.

Now they need to trade away Danny Granger for a top pick and tank.
