It was pretty good, but the humor felt kind of forced at times and the jokes often fell flat to me. I'd rate it an entertaining 6/10. Spacey was great, wanted more Colin Farrell.
Just got back from seeing it, I thought it was great. I have a whole new appreciation of Jennifer Aniston.
Wife and I saw it last night. Not great but good! Aniston not only looks hot but is real sexy! Talks dirty through the whole movie!
Eh...just a matter of opinion. I really enjoyed it. Then again, I liked a lot of the people that were involved. I'm an SNL honk, so I loved Jason Sudeikis and I like Jason Bateman and Charlie Day as well.
saw this last night and there was a q&a afterwards with seth gordon, the director. I thought it was pretty funny and Charlie Day really just carried over his Charlie Kelly role even up to the lawyering. Aniston not sure if it was all the dirty talk and play but she looked smokin in this movie compared to some of the other stuff she did recently. Gordon said that Aniston was the first person he had in mind when he read the part of Julia and that despite it being different from the roles she usually does she was all for the role 100% and even ad libbed some of the lines they kept. definitely recommended I think all of us could relate to one of these horrible bosses in some way (well maybe not the really really hot boss that is a nympho)
The cast is really solid, even though I never bought Aniston's "raunchiness". Bateman, Day and Sudekis make a hellva trio, excellent chemstry. Spacey was excellent but Farrell isn't in it enough, more of a cameo than anything else
thanks for that. can you tell me how much i liked x-men as well before i start telling people? i'd hate for my movie experience to be different than yours! thanks!
i love all the self referential bits in this movie and thread for that matter. Charlie referencing Danny Devito Kevin Spacey basically reprising his role from Swimming With Sharks The fact that half the people in this thread are joking about lawyering, when that is indeed exactly word for word the quotes used in the film. and the loblaw law blog reference just ties it all back together. Charlie and Jamie Foxx stole this one for me. Jennifer Aniston in Horrible Bosses makes Jennifer Aniston in The Break Up look like Large Marge from Horrible Bosses
Just saw this- I went in with high expectations, and it didn't blow me away. The movie was good, but it wasn't amazing. I agree that humor felt forced at times.
I thought there was great chemistry but I left feeling like something was missing... ...like more Julie Bowen
