Won't blame her for Studio 66 since it was about five years or so behind its time and should have been on cable. But Saving Silverman and A Lot Like Love, were both unoriginal crap. The Ex was downright horrific, might have actually destroyed Zach Braff's film career. She gets some supporting roles in decent indie movies like Igby Goes Down and Melinda/Melinda, but anybody could have done those parts and she was outshone by Sarandon, Danes, Sevigny and Radha Mitchell.
At first I thought that preview was a Saturday Night Live sketch making fun of terrible movie ideas. It is almost a parody. That being said, Sandler has actually made quite a few funny movies and surprises me every once and a while with a good one still. Of course everyone is a fan of Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison, but Bid Daddy, Mr. Deeds, 50 First Dates, and the Wedding Singer are pretty good. I also enjoyed Funny People. It's like 25% of his movies are just ridiculous, like he's trying to see what he can get away with. Little Nicky comes to mind.
Disagree on Saving Silverman, didn't care for the Kutcher flick. Didn't bother with The Ex. (You're not blaming her for destroying Braff's film career right?) Of course she'd be outshined by Sarandon, Danes, Sevigny. Those 3 would outshine a lot of average/decent actresses like Peet, and even better actresses. Radha's not a bad actress either. If she were in a flick with some crappy actress and performed badly then I'd be more worried.
And Funny People as a couple others have mentioned. I dunno if Grown Ups, Chuck & Larry, Longest Yard and Click should be added to the others. Possibly on the next level of average Sandler movies. HGilmore, Billy Madison, Waterboy, Big Daddy and Wedding Singer get top billing.
I think Stan already let us know his thoughts on this movie <iframe width="560" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/O-MqIIoc5r0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Punch Drunk Love was different from all the other Sandler movies, I quite enjoyed that movie... Oh and Spanglish too, so he used to not make crap all the time...
Are you all having trouble understanding the difference between "1 decent movie" and "1 more decent movie"?
