Will you continue your interest in the Rockets in the future? Are you bonded enough with this team to follow and support it without Yao?

Well Yao has barely played for the last 3 years, still it didn't stop the Rockets from being the most liked and followed team in China. What is different now?

The Lakers are a distant 2nd in China.

If Yao makes a comeback in Los Angeles will their fame overtake ours?

9 years man, 9 years take Rockets as my hometeam, how can I just forget Rockets like nothing happens?

SF3, Cat, Bob Sura, Tmac, Mutombo, Battier, Chuck Hayes, Luis Scola... so many happy & sad memories here, I'm really feel bad today it makes Rockets like a unreal dream to me.

Can't say I still will watch every Rockets game in future if you have time like before, but Rockets will definitly my hometeam while against other teams. I hate Jazz, hate Mavericks & will never forget to BEAT LA!!!

And happy for YAO you can have a good rest now, thanks for your hard work, thanks for Rockets you bring me so much happiness time when I was a student. I will forever supporting your guys, there still something big waiting for us!

Houston Rockets are still China's home team. It's kinda of like when Jordan finally retired. Chicago fans were still Chicago fans, but attendance suddenly dropped off the cliff.

Do they televise Rockets games in China? And will they continue to do so now that Yao has retired? Or will you have to watch everything through internet streams now?

I'm Chinese and has been a Rockets fan since 1999 :)
This might come as a surprise to many of you guys but most of the REAL Chinese basketball fans do not like Yao. Many so called fans are just speculating since Yao is the biggest star there (at least in sports)

Yep! 9 years is a long bonding time.

Rockets! - at least until such time that there will be a major player dispersal again. That will be the true test of the bond, since the glue that brought us here is no longer around.

BTW, thanks for asking the non-american/chinese

I think I will. I became a rockets fan when Drexler came to rockets in 1995.
