    Jay Williams.

People tend to forget that had we drafted him, he wouldn't have been in that motorcycle accident.

    Something to ponder.

trade #1 pick for 2003 draft picks and tank the 2002 season.

Hakeem and I would have traded Ralph Sampson to Chicago for the 3rd pick and then I would have drafted Michael Jordan.

Yao, since hindsight is the same as the thought back then. Yao is still the best player from that draft.

With the pick I would have received from trading Sampson for Drexler & the #2 pick? Michael Jordan.

Yao. Id rather have the experience of Yao and adding so many Asian fans to our franchise than Amare and still not winning any big playoff games anyways.

I would have traded the pick for a bunch of players that improved dramatically in the 2003 season, and do the same the following season.

Not really the Rockets fault, team China really taxed Yao. Physically AND financially.

That's all assuming that it had anything to do with his condition. I sure hope more comes out about why he's actually retiring before more conclusions get pushed out as to why his injuries kept happening (to different areas in his body, no less)
