Heypartner..I get it. Looking at your post total leads me to believe that you have truly heard everything. Perhaps you should step away from the keyboard and go outside. How is this topic going to change when the problems continue to carry over from game to game ? It's called letting out frustration. This message board in one way is used to share observations and if the topic has been played out then that's too bad.

actually diogenes, I've never heard anyone say Steve should be a Forward. I like that idea better than your suggesting benching Mobley.

that's fine...as long as he's not expected to run the offense .

    snoop dioggy-diog,

I don't care about your post count be it low or high, just the/your singular and incessant crusade-like flogging of the already-dead, cremated, and scattered horse corpse to a state of even greater mortality, especially given how superficial your solution is in practice.

You're right post counts don't matter, just like labels "point guard", "point forward", "strong forward", "wing player", "power forward" "shooting guard" "off guard".

I just find it ironic that steve playing "out of position" is the primary cause of the Rockets offensive struggles solely because he doesn't fit your own personal vision of his label when he is arguably playing the best ball of his career.

(NOTE to Diogenes: This is the part of the thread where you tell me that Stephon Marbury has great numbers too and his teams never win anything and Jason Kidd made his old team succesful and how starbury is ruining Dan Langhi's career and should pass to Iakovos Tsaklidis more.)

I've said it in other threads and I'll say it again here Steve is the least of the Rockets problems right now.

Is he perfect? Nope. Does he take ill advised shots? Sometimes.

Is he trying to pass more, and get more ball movement? Definitely.

Look at the Indiana game. I think it was BigM that said it. You could have put Jason Kidd at the PG that game and we still would have lost, because the supporting cast didn't come to play that night. They were awful, and it wasn't Steve's fault.

Looking at the Seattle game, the Rockets started off well, and did very well in the 4th Q psuedo come-back. Steve was in the game well, and there was more passing than we've seen in the past.

Look at the Seattle game when Steve was out because of foul trouble, especially in the 3rd quarter where the real Sonic victory was cemented.

The team as a whole did much better when Steve was in the game. Now isn't that what a team leader and PG should be responsible for?

The guy plays to win every single night. If the rest of the team played with his passion, we would be undefeated right now.

Sure Steve still has improvement to make, but on the list of Rockets problems, Steve Francis is probably dead last.

Man, who would have thought tossing around the idea of SF moving over to the 2 guard (not traded) would have brought so much controversy and anger to some ? I guess we just have to sit back and let time tell !

When is he not whatever guard he wants to be? We do not have a starting point guard...
