Probably trying to annoy Rambis into to giving back some of what he's owed in order to buy his freedom (or better yet, resign outright so that they owe him nothing). The "written report" deal probably had the same meaning behind it.

Other than the Clippers the Wolves are the 2nd worst organization in the NBA.

I have a feeling Kahn is just the scapegoat for every bad move the organization has made. There's a reason he hasn't been fired. He takes the blame for other people's mistakes (maybe the owner?) and he enjoys the press.

David Kahn needs his own sitcom. I can think of countless scenarios - a bumbling private investigator, an incompetent yoga instructor, a witless police chief, a clueless NBA GM...

I have a feeling Kahn is just a bad GM.

They don't want to pay him the $4 million he'd be owed if the team just fires him. So, they threaten him with the 2-year sentence in order to force him to quit or accept a lesser settlement.

Yeah, I doubt they can do that, if Rambis' attorneys were any good...

Kahn should just pull a Costanza and pretend like it never happened. "What? That? Are you kidding? I didn't fire you. What? You took that seriously?"
