I'm a huge sports books fan, so I just finished up "Went March went Mad", by Seth Davis, detailing the classic 1979 NCAA championship game between Bird and Magic and its effect on basketball.

I'm also 100 pages into "Heart of the Game", S.L. Price's book on Mike Coolbaugh.

Haven't gone through the whole thread, but The Strain by Guillermo Del Toro and Chuck Hogan has started out pretty good.

Sorry for bumping this thread, but I wanted to bring this up after reading Shantaram. I picked up the book in a local bookstall and spent my remaining days in India reading continuously on hours end. The book is wonderful and very amusing and I would recommend it to anyone.

I haven't started to read this but my next book of choice is Arundhati Roy's The God of Small Things.

The sequel, "The Mountain Shadow," comes out February 4. I'm looking forward to reading it.

Don't kill me for bumping please :). I wish I could create a 2010 thread but I can't quite yet. I always find these discussions to be pretty good for getting a few books to read per month or so.

    Currently reading:

The Bro Code - Barney Stinson (written by the character from How I Met Your Mother)

    Descartes Error - Antonio Damasio

Always good to have reading discussion, but there already is a 2010 Reading Thread.

I'm still plugging away at Love in the Time of Cholera. Been sick, overworked, and am trying to get our 7 month old to sleep through the night. Been hard to read let alone see straight lately...

My buddy recommended me this book, so I'm starting it tonight.
