I just started. I think its worth the cost of my roadrunner collection. I'm usually late on my bills, not because I don't have the money, but because I'm lazy.

You should consider setting up automatic payment for all your regular bills.

i've done it for a year now and had my first bad experience last month.

my bank forgot to send off the check from my autopay for the gas bill... i had to go through a LOT of red tape to get the bank to pay my late charges... since it WAS their fault!

Oh, I don't do the autopay. If I'm gonna be late on my bills, it'll be my fault. Plus, I'm unemployed.

You can also set up automatic payment for a lot of your bills with your credit card being charged instead of your checking account being deducted. This way at least you won't get assessed the late charges even if you cannot immediately make the payment in cash. Personally, I've never had a problem with an automatic payment not being effected in many years - companies are usually very efficient about making sure they get their money ;)

    online bill pay rocks.

I hated writing a bunch of checks for a stack of bills. Once you set everything up it takes mins when it use to take hours.

I've used MS Money to pay all my bills via da Net for a few years now... except my rent. So easy and worth the extra money for the convenience (to me anyway).

As far as I know, my thing is free. But, I don't autopay. I still dictate when and what gets paid.

voodoo, I hear ya. I used to let my bills stack up for months because I was too lazy to pay them.
