Seriously, doesn't he know he's supposed to distribute distribute distribute to smooth shootin JuHawk and Uncle Ben Rice? Damn. His rebounding talents are being wasted. We need to move him inside. The NBA rulebook stattes that he must have a 1 to 1 to .5 assists to shots to rebouding ratio to be called a point guard. Stupid Rudy.

if steve was 6'10 he'd be putting up rodman like rebounding numbers. it just shows you what alot of hustle will do.

he's averaging 30 points on 50% shooting along with 10 rebounds and 5.75 assists.

the key stat is 50 percent shooting. he's not exactly jacking up crap shots here. that's some high percentage scoring.

Hakeem averaged 2 steals a game. Time to move him to small forward. He is playing out of position. We need to move him to the 3 and let Charles Jones play the 5. We need a traditional center. ;)

    Agreed,

If the rest of the team played with his fire they would be unstoppable.

Imagine if Ming played with SF's passion....oh man...I hope to see that one day.

His numbers are Jordanesque. Move him to the 2.

I don't think I would want Steve playing the 2. He would get 30 dropped on him every night if he had to guard bigger players. I think when it's all said and done, Steve might be able to break into the list of top 5 PGs of all time.

While Steve plays with an unquestionable passion, I'm just afraid his reckless abandon into the lane is going to end up with him hurt real bad. I can't see his body taking the kind of punishment he keeps taking on for like the next ten years or so. I hope he becomes a little bit more like Payton once he gets older and loses a step. The Glove still attacks the lane but does it in a much more controlled and still effective manner.

I don't understand why this thread isn't getting more play like the 20+ active "we must move francis to 2 and start moochie or trade Glen Rice for Jason Kidd" threads out there. The point is much more valid

France is a natural rebounder. We arre WASTING his talents. the job of a point guard is to get the OUTLET pass from the rebounders and distribute. But instead, he has the nerve to get the rebound and take off down the court, and then he LOOKS TO SCORE FIRST (when nobody else bothers to run out with him). This way we can maximize his strengths.

If we move him to shooting guard, it would be a disaster. He would want to shoot all the time, like that b*stard Shootino Mobley. Unless we ran him around picks and screens all the time and to capitalize on Rice's immobility. Then he could shoot fadeawys all the time. Or else he could drive. Did you know francis has a better chance to make a basket when he drives with Moochie standing next to him than with Shootino? It's true, check the stats.

We NEED francis at 4 running the Weave with Collier and Moochie, a true distributor, running the point.

Actually, other than Shaq, how many other centers could avearge 30 and 10. Last night would have been a huge night if Steve weren't in foul trouble.

if he had lamar odoms body we would average 35pts 14rebs and 6asts.

even if he had lamar odoms body with his current stats he would be considered a top 5 NBA player. because he is a Pg people want to see him average 9asts and 6 rebounds, not the other way around.

Why is it unthinkable to move SF to the 2 and don't give me that bs excuse " he might get hurt..awww". The guy drives to the basket every night and takes on 7 footers so I'm not buying that excuse. Hell, as many shots as he takes he better get 10 rebounds.

Apparently you registered so that you could use all 11 career posts to send Francis to shooting guard and Moochie could start. Maybe if you get to 1000 posts Clutch will send an official notice to Rudy T and your dream will be realized.

(NOTE to Diogenes: this is the part of the thread where you tell me that Francis is a POINT GUARD and it is his job to DISTRIBUTE the ball in accordance with NBA regulations and that he is selfish and must be a shooting guard.)

Jason Collier averages ...uhh...very little of anything. Time to move him to Europe.

I agree with mav. Let's make Steve a Point Forward. That way he can do the same thing, but his stats will fit that prototype more. Then if he doesn't get more assists, I can tell the biotches in my high school cafeteria that he's getting just as many assists as #33 got, plus more rebounds.

Make Steve a Point Forward, move Hawkins to Point Guard since he defended Payton the best yesterday and he passes to Eddie and Ming better (didn't GATER say that), and keep Mobley at SG, that way we don't have to start Moochie. We can also move Hawkins over to cover the bigger SFs on occassion.

    Thus, our starting lineup becomes:

    Eddie Griffin
    Steve Francis
    Kelvin Cato
    Cuttino Mobley
    Juaq Hawkins

    That's so much better than:

    Eddie Griffin
    Juaq Hawkins
    Kelvin Cato
    Cuttino Mobley
    Steve Francis

Note how the Chicago Bulls only got 2.6 assists from their starting PG in 1996, so Hawkins doesnt' have to get many, as long as we have a great Point Forward on the team.

Some of you need to understand that just because you post a lot in this forum doesn't mean you necessarily know anything or that you have the right to belittle someone just because s/he hasn't reached your post count yet or doesn't agree with your opinion.

    I mean, damn.

    ROX and diogenes:

it was very clear to me that mav was mocking diogenes's thread by starting this thread, and in his reponse he was further being sarcastic for diogenes being on mission on his first night of posting to bounce from thread to thread repeating the same cry. diogenes, read up, man. Your thread is late; it's been said everyday of the season. It had nothing to do with measuring post counts to call himself superior,,,sheesh. mav is freaking joking in this thread about you bouncing around on your first night repeating what you said in you Thread Title.

We read it. We saw it. OK?

Now, we eagerly await your first post not crying to move SF to SG. keep posting!
