Started out open-minded to his opinion. Actually was rooting for the Mavs. Shook my head at the unnecessary shots at Aggies. Then closed the page at the Katrina line. What a shameful basket of hate.
I'm still not convinced the OP isn't the one who wrote this blog and then posted in here to drum up webhits to his own blog.....
I live in Dallas and I can tell you no Mavs fans I know are really concerned with the Houston 'rivarly'. It's more about the Spurs..
First, the guy is an idiot and does not represent fans up here. He represents Dallas fans as much as CF represents all of Houston fans. Second, your (CF) hate is mirrored in 29 other cities so don't feel you're special because of it.
"Lack of Katrina refugees" That statement in itself proves all points that Dallas is the armpit of America.
This guy sums up EXACTLY what I talk about when I root against Dallas teams. I heard those sentiments over and over and over again when I went to college with a bunch of folks from Dallas.
Yeah I registered in march so that 5 months later i could write a blog and post it on here...I hate Dallas and all their douchey fans I have lived up here in Dallas for 5 years and cant stand their arrogant attitude..Just wanted to show you what a vast majority of Dallas people feel toward Houston...not all...Every-time I tell them where I am from they say sorry and that place sucks...f them Just watching the rangers/astros game last and listening to the guy that sits next to Tom Grieve talk **** was enough to make want to destroy my t.v.
Maybe it's just me, but this blog didn't anger me as much as I thought it would. In any case, I hate on Dallas just cause it's fun. I enjoy the passionate rivalry and it makes the games more fun to watch, especially with all the trash talking. I still remember a beat down we handed to them after Aarron Brooks torched their PGs. That game felt soo good!
Have fun with this...lol at dallas http://blogs.dallasobserver.com/unfairpark/2011/06/your_sneak_peek_at_most_eligib.php#more
I HATE Houston ESPN radio. Not that they are not open minded and hate on other teams, they just have very little knowledge about the NBA overall. It's pretty pathetic sometimes.
The funniest part is when he said that we were jealous of their hockey team. Hockey, really? Has anyone on this board spent one second thinking about the Dallas Stars?
I'll address his little blog before he started insulting Houston. 1) The difference in the Mavs vs. Rockets, is that it wasn't a rivalry until the past decade. The Mavs were terrible, so it wasn't a big deal. Then the realigned, moving into smaller divisions, and we ended up having an epic 7 game playoff series between us. That created the rivalry that makes us hate the Mavs. 2) Most of America hates the Cowboys. I would call it a combination of jealousy and their arrogance that causes it. 3) Who the heck hates the Rangers? I don't. Maybe if we meet in the World Series, but the Rangers have sucked until last year. They went bankrupt last year. We hate that Ryan wears a Rangers cap in the HOF, but we hate John McMullen for that. We hate that Ryan left again to be president of the Rangers, and now owner, but that was just a guy taking a promotion. We hate the Cubs (Because of our obvious penis envy due to all the winning they do ). We hate the Braves. We hate the Cardinals. We do not hate the Rangers.
Yonizzel owned him How classy of you to imply that Houston is a dirtier city because we welcomed evacuees who’s homes had been destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. Youre a true dallacite aren’t you. BTW Koresh took place in Waco, about 45 minutes from Austin. And Houston has 2 championships back to back. When you get another championship, please sign up at Clutchfans.net and lets have talk like men. Until then, go read about the sacrifices Houston made to help out people in need.
Hey man, just making sure, I live up in Dallas and I feel the same way, mavs fans are asses, hell I listen to the games with the Rockets on mute so I don't have to hear thier piss poor announcers.
