So you somehow have clairvoyantly seen that those who threw bottles and caused problems were all border jumpers. Amazing! No Mexico fan from the U.S. could have thrown a bottle! Thus, we must check the papers of everyone going to sporting events now!
Shipping out bitter, illogical, neo-fascist thread derailers would go a long way towards improving both, as well!
Don't leap to conclusions, of course there could be idiots that are in the country legally tossing things, they should be sent to jail like any other idiot in this country doing something illegal. Are you saying that all those fans in the Rose bowl were in this country legally? If so, nothing wrong with a check as they buy their tickets, right? DD
http://www.usimmigrationsupport.org/illegal-immigration-from-mexico.html Either way, there is nothing to talk about if all those Mexican supporters are in this country legally, if not...well....ship them back. DD
For the love of all that is not insane: How would you check someone for buying tickets? DL? SS#? Passport? Birth certificate? Who would decide their vailidity? Who would have to submit one? Would they have to do it for every sporting/music/whatever event? What about if "ID'd" people resold their ticket? Same ID'ing at the door? What other events would we need to submit "ID's" for? Or is it not we? Is it just whoever you decide needs to be racially profiled as maybe being illegal? I could go on & on but I won't b/c I've already wasted enough time with your thread-derealing, fascist ass.
Awesome, just use events like this to weed out the illegals, it is common sense that many of the illegal aliens from Mexico would be at this game, just make sure that anyone buying/using a ticket is legal. No worries, not sure why it is such a bad idea....doesn't effect anyone that is here in this country legally. But we all know there are a good number of folks here illegally, and the majority of those are from Mexico, seems like a good place to catch a few of the illegal folks in our country. DD
Not sure what the ruckus is about, people in this country legally have nothing to fear about what I am saying those that are here illegally should be sent packing. DD
can we please lock this thread. DD managed to turn a Futbol thread into D&D fodder. what a shame. I'm not surprised though since DD is a Spoiler Untied fan . You are what you eat I guess.
Why should these threads be locked b/c of one bitter jackass on a mission to get it locked? Seriously. It went from a discussion about the game and about the sport generally to some Himmler-esque trolling for citizenship checkpoints. I'm still upset about the loss and got pelted during the match but c'mon now. This guy's mom must have been raped by Speedy Gonzalez for him to hate Mexicans this much. Fatty gets banned yet this guy sticks around? Confine him to D&D so he can keep spewing and we can continue on with our nice little thread.
Yeah, D&D material that has been discussed ad nauseum over there should stay there. A lot of people had a lot of good points in this thread about football in general. Now on to the Copa America thread!
Please leave my thread. You have added nothing of significance and continue to be nothing but a jackass.
I was at the game and did not have much of a problem, though I could really feel the tension around us when the US went up 2-0. Pre-game was probably one of the craziest atmosphere's I've been to for a sporting event. It was as fun as going to games on Saturdays at Kyle Field, and this is about the only sporting event I've been to that I can say that. Everyone there was pretty good-natured until the US went ahead (when I heard some comments that I would not want my children to hear), and as soon as Mexico tied it up 15 minutes later, it was back to normal. I do wonder what it would have been like leaving the stadium had the US won the game.
^ is that all? Seriously? You can get away with all that trash by just posting once and saying you were drunk? In vino veritas. You have EDIT capabilities. You may not have to wonder much if you ask those around the game in 2007 in Chicago or the previous Mexico losses in Arizona and Dallas. I know the value of those games may have been less, but if security was better at those games, perhaps they should do something similar.
Mexico is running out of eligible players. 5 suspended for doping (right or wrong) and another 8 for, well, you know. I do wonder though. One of our resident mexico supporters has a history of giving the USMNT for not taking the Copa America seriously when invited and taking a B team. I wonder what he'd call this team going to South America...even before 8 of them were suspended?
CONCACAF is only allowing them to take U23 players to make sure they sent a competitive squad to the Gold Cup. If I remember correctly they were trying to prevent them from competing at all in the future.
