That is a good point, as much as I loved Adelman, we definitely played better after the trade deadline when we moved Battier and inserted Buddinger. This isn't a knock on Battier who was a class act. My point is there is no question that Adelman was ticked about trading Battier, and Buddinger only got a shot because of the trade. So giving H Thabeet, J Hill and T-Will a chance with the new coaches could allow at least one of them to step it up. The one problem with this is the looming lockout. If the only game in town is the Astros, I'm going to have to start watching boxing.
I didn't realize that, but how about this trade Houston gets: Granger Denver gets: Scola, Houston 2012 2nd pick Indy gets: Gallinari, Andersen, Bud, Thabeet (exp. contract), Denver 2013 1st rd pick. Its great for all teams involved. Houston upgrades at the SF position. Indy gets a vastly improving Gallinari, Bud to come off the bench, Thabeet's expiring contract, and Andersen to compliment Hibbert and Hansbrough off the bench. They would make 12mil of cap space once Thabeet and Posey's contracts expire. And a Denver 2013 draft pick. Bringing in Scola could help Nene stay for them. That also allows Chandler to becoming the SF. They could sign Jason Richardson to back up Chandler or Affalo and bring the offense off the bench. Here what the teams would like like Houston (continuation of the previous trade propsals in the tread): Lowry/Dragic/ Flynn (exp.contract) Martin/ Dragic/ T-will (exp.contract) Granger/ Morris Patterson/ Chuck/ Motie Asik/ Yao?/ Motie Indy Collison/ George Hill (exp.contract)/ A.J Price George/ Rush Gallinari (exp.contract) / Bud/ Jones Hansbrough/ Andersen Hibbert (exp.contract)/ Andersen/ Thabeet (exp.contract) Denver Lawson/ Miller Affalo/ forbes Chandler Scola/ Harrington Nene?/Mozgov/ Kofus
