Suns always get the the role/scrub player of the siblings...

His listed height is 6-9, but no way in hell is that accurate. Jeff Green is 6-9, but Durant is visibly taller than Jeff Green.

Please for the love of god stop talking out of you ass when it comes to provable facts. It's one thing to say you believe player X is better than player Y, since opinions are by definition impossible to disapprove.

But you do realize that people can just google stuff and prove just how wrong statements like the one bolded are, right?

Markieff isn't a scrub like Robin Lopez. He is a better rebounder and more of a traditional 4.

With this being said, Marcus is the better baller and I'm thanking the stars that the Suns and other GM's passed on him.

Just kidding with that, I think Markieff will prove to be a good sibling, better than the other two they drafted at least.

Don't agree with this. There are more than 10 franchise players in the league.

I have to agree wit the Op. He will be an all star sooner then later. I see him as a "Duncan" at the sf. A very skilled player, that is very smart, efficient, moves well with out the ball, and knows how to make the smart play...and he uses the triple threat almost as well as Tmac.

Right now I'm picturing Morris ceiling being essentially Antoine Walker if he had his head on straight and was a team player.

Would that be sort of accurate Cxbby?

But who is better? Marcus or his brother? I know his brother is a more traditional 4 but overall, who do you think is more talented?

I agree with the OP and am very happy with this pick.
He can score in a variety of ways and has some real potential.
If he can guard NBA 3s I think he has a good chance a becoming a star in this league.

Anyone know what the situation is with the NBA summer league in Vegas? I seem to remember reading somewhere that it was cancelled due to the impending lock-out. When am I gonna get to see the new guys in action? Also, I always really enjoyed those games, more telling than some would think.

After calming down a bit, I like his swagger and competitive fire, but I think he's a bit overconfident. He compares himself to Melo and Pierce. I don't see it. I don't see him competing for ROY or becoming an all-star on multiple occasions much less a franchise player. He might become a poor man's Michael Beasley. All this combined with the fact that CXbby usually spews nothing but bs makes me think that I may be wrong, but I doubt it. Either way, it's going to be fun coming back to this thread later.

Why don't you stop starting stupid threads anytime an "idea" pops into your head? There's nothing special about any of your "thoughts" that deserve their own thread, but you still do it and they routinely fall off the front page faster than you can blindly support Morey and co. Most of the bs you spew can go into other threads. Thanks in advance.

Just checked DX to compare Morris's sprint numbers with other SF's in this draft, and he he has the same sprint time as Kawhi Leonard. The only bad thing is that Morris didn't participate in the agility drill so its hard to know how well he moves laterally.

Fortunately, a lot of good defense is played by players in the league that don't have the best measurements. If he is committed to playing team defense and has good anticipation skills all this "he's not athletic enough" crap can be flushed down the toilet. Most important, he is competitive and tough, and last I checked, guys with those characteristics end up getting it done regardless of what other have to say.

I did not know much about Marcus before this draft, but the more I look into it, the more it seems like the Rockets really made a solid pick. Kudos to CX for the info/background on him. I can definitely see this working out, especially if MM slims down a couple pounds and dedicates himself working on his perimeter footwork.

If nothing else, at least we know he'll be able to get back on defense ;)
