so no one cares what the actual scouts have to say, but are replying to random internet posters like crazy

 

That's the most boring interview ever.

 

Rockets say he's a PF, but he calls himself a SF. So which position does he play?

 

I heard " his upside is at the 3..." and that's all I needed to hear to be satisfied with the pick. Let's hope Morey and his crew prove once again they know what they are doing.

I hope i never have to watch this guy take questions ever again.. Seemed just irritated by every question and exhausted.. I'm sure he's tired... but that doesnt meen you have to roll your eyes and exhale for everyone to hear everytime you have to think about a question.. Did'nt really give me any answers about the guy and doesnt seem excited about him.. "He was our best player available at the pick...."

 

Arturas Karnisovas is a TOP Scout. The Nets owner has been trying to steal him away for a while.

I trust this guy's scouting.

 

I'm guessing his game currently is in the mold of the PF. That was the position he played at Kansas after all. However, the Rockets feel that at the NBA level, he's more suited for the SF position. As he is definitely undersized as a pure 4, this makes sense.

Overall, I believe the Rockets see him as their SF in the future.

 

I'll admit, his interview did bore me. I zoned out after about a minute and a half.

Watching him play he just doesn't seem athletic and fast enough to play the 3 but I'm no expert.

 

He reminds me of every NFL defensive coach after the draft... "We like his toughness". Morris will be great on offense and may end up being the go to guy late in fourth.

 

Finally someone else mentioned this. Lost in all this other stuff is the fact that he's already the best healthy one on one player we have. Automatically. Scola is up there, but isn't as versatile.

 

I dont believe he was calling him a PF, as in that's what he will be, he was just going by his official listed position. Rockets obviously think he can, and will, play SF.
