question wasn't about the draft, it was about the first pick... late first round picks suck even more than #14
I think, so far, been an excellent draft. I thought we were going to move up to get this guy, he fell into our laps at 14.
Stunk seeing Leonard, Vuecic, Singletary taken right after - I look at all of those guys as better fits than Morris. I'll also be open and say I've had a low opinion of the Morris twins.
After talking to a few of my buddies who follow college ball pretty closely, it sounds like Morris is a pretty good pick. Stands to reason that we aren't done shuffling our 4 spot...but I have no idea who will go. Probably Scola since we seem closer and closer to admitting that we're rebuilding. For the record, the saying is "couldn't care less", as in, I care so little, that I couldn't care any less. " I could care less" implies that you must care some, because you could potentially care less.
DM values BPA over fit, so I am not surprised with the pick. I think that Morris will have a long and strong NBA career at the 3.
Marcus Morris has NBA 3 point range, can attack the basket, post people up, can play perimeter defense...what is there not to like? He is a 3. Yes, we can play him at both spots, but he is really a 3. At almost 6'9 (even with short arms), he'll have enough size in the NBA. Dude seriously has 3-point range in the NBA. You guys need to watch some tape. He strokes the 3 pretty easily.
