I think we will keep the #14and draft Moti. He is the highest ceiling and Rockets probably have him ranked top 10 in this draft.

Then, we try to package the #23 and #38 to move up a couple spots if possible.
We can try to replace the early 2nd round pick with cash offers.

We will draft a undersized PF that DM has ranked at 5. We will trade our 23 for a first next year and we will buy two second round picks this year. DM will draft a white boy, hoping to land the next larry bird. MOCK.. MY.. WORD

Ill be happy either way, all of these players look like role players so its no big deal if we cant move up. If we keep our picks we will probably make more moves before the start of the season.

30 Teams will draft players that end up in the middle of the rotation and the status quo of the NBA will remain unchanged.

    1. Houston trades #14 and #23 to Detroit for #8 and #33

    2. Houston drafts JIMMER FREDETTE

    3. Houston trades the Luis Scola, Chase Budinger, and the draft rights of Jimmer Fredette to Sacramento for DeMarcus Cousins, Jon Salmons, and a future 1st Rounder (Lottery Protected)

    4. Chaos ensues

It would be a terrible move even if he wasn't a free agent.

    Agreed.

We then flip the 38th pick for Durant. I like it.

We pick Kemba Walker with the 14th pick. With the 23rd pick, we pick some European that no one has heard of, and trade his draft rights to San Antonio for Matt Bonner. That pick ends up being the best pick of the draft, but doesn't come to the NBA for 5 years.

When the night is over we're either going to end up with a veteran or a SF (with trades or picks in the first round) and at least 2 2nd round picks.

Total: 3 players by the end of the night, but at most 1 guaranteed contract

If we keep the picks (highly unlikely):

    14 Markieff Morris
    23 Charles Jenkins
    38 Jimmy Butler

    Who I want:
14 Tristan or Biyombo if they slide, if not then Motiejunas
    23 Harris, Singleton
    38 Tyler, J. Williams, Benson

    Who I hate:
    14 Vucevic
    23 Singler
    38 N. Smith

I expect a tired Morey to say something like we picked the best player available, we believe he will contribute to the Rockets future. Please surprise me ;)

LOL keep dreaming. Scola for DeMarcus Cousins won't even happen straight up one on one.

Stay at 14 and draft someone decent who at least gets into the rotation. Makes someone we already have expendable. Opens up trade moves for other position players we need.

everyone gets riled up about potential trade talks, then morey just drafts a couple solid role players at 14 and 23...
