been 20 years since you raced into our living rooms and hearts had so much fun playing this game and the other games that followed on the genesis also had some great midi music as well <iframe width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/jQ3r2nAHUA0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> time for me to go home tonight and play some sonic (after the draft of course)
boss thread! I remember playing the hell out of Sonic on Genesis...and now get to watch my 5 year old son play the hell out of Sonic on PS3.
Greatness, goes along with me becoming a Sega fanboy till the bitter end with the death of the Dreamcast....
cool story bro alert right before i went off to college my parents got new carpeting throughout the house. a friend of mine comes over to play sonic, its the summer i'm the only one home. new freakin carpet like one week. we also had a problem with one of the toilets so anyway dude is playing sonic, he's an early version of a "gamer" he beats the thing, it took at least an hour. i had fallen asleep. wake up, walk into the carpeted hallway, squish squish. the toilet had over flowed, neither one of us realized and all the carpet was soaked. my parents had take up and dry it out, luckily all they paid was some more instillation costs. all because of that damn game.
my rich friend gave me his my freshman year of college as he got a ps2 dreamcast had so many awesome games for it but sega messed up when they made it so they had the only GD burners and there just wasnt enough third party software support for it. of course then the easy way to download games for it without having to mod-chip it. but the technology and the ideas they put in (online gaming) and all were all well ahead of its time.
this thread made me look up the music for Sonic 2 the Chemical Plant level...this music pumped me up lol <object style="height: 390px; width: 640px"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/-LYB7iLZNWE?version=3"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/-LYB7iLZNWE?version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="390"></object>
