How can teams around the league have such silly reservations about a 2 time NBA champ, an almost all star player and 6th man of the year winner?:rolleyes:

Why are they silly? Even on the Lakers he's never played up to his full potential. That guy has the ability to be one of the best players in the league - just not the work ethic and determination to be that. And before LA? Yeah. He seriously under-achieved.

    This is news?

Odom loses focus during big games so I could only imagine him on a none contending team.

This is a valid concern. Odom might return to full-time space cadet mode if he's traded from LA.

Because they remember his Clippers and Lakers days when he nearly "didn't care" himself out of the league?

He's similar to Horry in that he's always played well below his potential. With his length, athleticism, and skill set, he could have been an All-NBA guy. Instead, he's a wishy washy bench guy that goes AWOL at least once a week.

He's good, but I wouldn't bank on him at all.

Odom's been lazy his whole career. Takes entire games off, and now it seems he's more interested in being a celebrity than playing ball. Props to Phil Jackson for getting Odom to produce in LA. I don't think Mike Brown will be able to motivate him next year.

i think odom had his best season with miami - though another party city

yeah but now with his life tied to reality tv and all i doubt he'll even care as much as he has if he gets traded anywhere else

He finally got his rings now, don't think he will care to play hard again if he's traded to a non-contender.

Riley famously had a come to Jesus with him before giving him that offer and was all but a personal AA mentor during his time there. He was very much on a tight leash there.

I remember he said during his free agency that he had no interest in playing anywhere that was not close to the beach. Says a lot about his priorities.

He is like Dennis Rodman, unless you have a strong willed Superstar he will kill a team.

That's a small disservice to Rodman. At least Rodman had a motor like no other. he left it all on the floor.

    Odom is more like T-mac.

Yeah, I was speaking more towards chemistry in the locker room.

Odom is clearly a much lazier player but Rodman would stop playing at times too...both lost interest if they were not kicked in the butt by their superstar players.
