if kenny is traded it needs to be for the likes of elton brand KENNY/TAYLOR/MADDOX/1ST RDPIC FOR BRAND/2ND RD PIC WHY DIDNT BRAND GET HIS EXTENTION ANYWAY?
And the Rockets dont need to trade ANYONE.!!! Besides..If the Clippers are shopping Elton Brand ...They will get an offer from every team in the league....
KT's option was not picked up, per ESPN. The Rockets thus are probably more inclined to let him test free agency than trade him away and have to deal with more contracts.
Kt will be a restricted free agent next year, the Rockets will be able to match any offer he gets......His contract was not EXTENDED this year, partly because of luxury tax concerns { they may be able to sign him for more money next year and actually pay-out less} and they get one more year to determine his value to the team.........
It makes no difference - the extension would not have taken effect until next season in any case, meaning KT has a year for his value to rise and the Rockets could actually end up paying more. I still think they will let him go, though, with Griffin and Taylor around.
Yeah, trading Kenny makes a LOT of sense. Let's trade the hardest working player on the team and have a line up full of under-achievers and guys padding their stats.
I firmly believe that KG can be had by the Rockets for no more than KT, Cat, + 2 #1's, plus cap fillers (Rice,Mochie Norris). From looking at last season and the first few games of this year, it is very apparent that the Rockets need muscle up front. The type that KG can fill. I think KG is worth it.

Why does everyone suddenly want Kenny "Mad Dawg" Thomas to stay? This off season I saw a gang of trade KT posts. Could it be that Eddie's "potential" doesn't show up in the box score.
