I was just wondering if there were really any bad seats in Compaq Center, I plan on coming to a game from Kansas, and I don't want to buy bad tickets. Any help would be appreciated.
Bring your TV. Just kidding... The best seats (value) are the upper seats, but downlow. Or the lower seats, but up high.
all the seats are great, but be sure to buy before you come, or you will end up like i did.... screwed wit no tickets.... and a long way to drive
What is the best/cheapest way to get tickets? Should I buy from scalpers, internet, telephone? I'd love to know.
walking up to the ticket counter is the cheapest because they don't charge you any convenience fees like ticket master. However, if it is a empty game, the scalpers will be will to give up tickets for very little once the game starts.
We got $13 tickets this year in section 203 - they have a great view of the court. Like everyone says, the Summit is so small, there aren't any really bad seats.
Section 205, $13. Moving to better seats, as the opportunity presents itself. How does everyone handle selling tickets they can't use?
Hey Fly & Gutter, wave as you go by. I'll be in section 204 row A. I can't handle stairs like I used to. About 15 years ago, my wife & I had seats in row T for the LOVIN' FEELINGS concert & that about killed us then.
I probably had the worst seat of the house yesterday. Section 223, ROW T. If you do ur math right, that is the LAST ROW on the top of the arena. I can literally rest my head back to the wall. The seats are not bad at all. Its watchable and nothing beats that being there with an almost sold out crowd.
as others have posted, there really isn't a bad seat in the house. the only seats i would find even closely objectionable are those that are directly behind the basket on the upper level, near the last seats in that level. otherwise any seat in compaq is good. now, when we get the new arena, the 'worst' seat in the new arena will probably be way worst than the 'worst' seat in compaq. imo, if you are coming all the way from Kansas to watch the rockets and if you are by yourself, i would splurge and get a good seat.
I was surprised to note that even some of the wide-angle seats still have a decent view of the game. Still, if you're going to sit upper-prom, nothing beats the seats in the middle. By the way, for those who are interested, read my sig.
Hey, did you get season tickets? Because I am in row G of that section and B is in row H. I love those seats for the price. Usually I move though, but since it was sold out the other night, I just stayed there.
Well, we were going to split some season tickets, but my friends decided that a 12 pack was enough. We're in Section 203, Row J, seats 3&4. I think everyone heard me yell "Feed the BEAST!" after Yao scored two in a row. I'll have to watch for B next game - I thought I'd recognize him by now. I think what we need is a sticky where people can list their season tickets, etc.
Just don't wind up in the lowest row of the upper section. Sometimes you get a bar that obstructs your view. I was given free tickets and went to such a game; thankfully, as the Rockets had no fans last year, I easily moved to better seats, but with Apocalypse Yao-Now, that option might (even more thankfully) not present itself as much this year.
Gutter Snipe, I am a jackass, I read it wrong. We are in 223, not 203, so in other words, the other side of The Summit, lol, that sucks.......
