Was just thinking about how many teams passed up on Chandler also lol.

But injuries have always been a concern with him. Mavs were fortunate that he was healthy all year...sorta like how the Colts were fortunate Sanders was healthy the year they won.

If Yao could just give us one full healthy year who knows what would happen :(

they shot 36% in the reg season. an extra 5% in 3pt shooting is ridiculous.
if a player can shoot 40% from 3pt range, he's called a specialist.

dallas shot that percentage for the entire playoffs. that's called being "unconscious."

i still think OKC is the best team going into next year if their best players improve. dallas will also be up there b/c they will be getting butler back. and the lakers will still be back b/c they will upgrade their PG position.

Dallas wins it all again in 2013 after they sign D-Will in 2012.

Yeah but they have always been a great shooting team throughout the years, thats why they've been labled as soft. Thats why what Chandler brought was the biggest thing. They never had a guy who patrolled the paint and what he did was make it easier for guys like Durant/Lebron/Wade to fall in love with their jump shots because driving the lane wasn't as simple as it used to be.

There is also a lot A LOT to be said about 'The Heart of a Champion' They has that now. You see it a lot of times when people have called the Spurs or Celtics 'Too Old' and they go into their bag of tricks and just know how to win. They have that championship swagger now.

I think OKC is much further than many think. Them making the WCF reminds me of the Jazz making it a few years back.

Lakers will be there I agree with that. I think what happened to them was Pau and letting personal problems getting in the way (didn't he even admit that?)

They could only get him through a SnT. Sadly for the Mavs, Jason Kidd isn't getting any younger.

i just don't think dallas can repeat. people may say their D was huge (but the thunder and heat still shot a great fg% vs them), and but it wasn't dominant.

but in the playoffs where defense steps up a notch, and for them to repeatedly make those 3s, it just sucks the life out of the opponent.

i mean, barea and kidd both made buzzer beating 3s in that 4th quarter, despite great heat defense. and that killed any momentum the heat tried to develop. and they did that to the lakers, and the thunder.

it's just their time during the playoff run. i don't want to use the football analogy but they hit their stride at the right time. i still don't think they're the best team in basketball.

They could address nothing and still be back here. I wouldn't be surprised if the same two teams played again and Miami won.

I don't really look at the FG% because it is relative to the game and series. You can still play good defense but your opponent is just hitting tough shots and thus the FG% doesn't show that.

I also don't doubt that they can do this again, because those guys they have are shooters. It's not like non-shooters went off, their shooters went off. Kidd is a great shooter too and Barea is just clutch like that.

Maybe you mean the most talented team didn't win this year, but the best team always wins in a 7 game series (unless it is a certain Kings-Lakers series...) and though I hate to say it. The Mavs were the best team this year, won't deny them that.

yeah I dont see that happening again .Orlando lived by this idea, and they never got back, mostly because its hard to carry that skill, because teams will come at you differently as well..

also, whats all this bull****, Miami will add talent/get better. IS THE TRIO NOT ENOUGH!?

WHY would you not resign a championship team?

    I would be.

I don't think the Heat are going to breeze through the EC again, like they did this year. Being together for a year makes teams prepare for you better; teams that were on the cusp of contending might make one trade that changes things.

Chicago could get a decent 2 and / or a #2 option next to Rose, by trading away Boozer. Boston could try to get younger. Orlando could pick up a piece, which in turn might make Dwight stay. Even NYC could join the party, and pick up a legit third piece.

Likewise, I don't think Dallas will have such an easy time either.

miami may not need to add more talent (they do need to get a legit center though) if mike miller and haslem get and stay health. haslem was a nonfactor offensively outside of one game vs chicago, and mike miller was useless all year offensively.

can Dallas resign everyone with the CBA up in the air?? I think it might be hard for them to have a $90mil. payroll again..

Most likely Bird Rights will still exist in the new CBA, so yes. But, Dallas may end up paying big time to do so...

Nothing is guaranteed. I think I would have to go with Memphis to win the West next year. Unless Chicago does not upgrade at the 2 then Miami will be back.

If Chandler and Butler return, they should be the favorites. Easily? Don't think so.

This Dallas love fest is making me barf. I much rather read about people b****ing over a heat win. You guys seriously want the Dallas Douchemavs to win again? I for one, hope they never do again.

Wait till we play Dallas next season and JEt does his douchy airplane celebration, Stevenson is starting fights, doing hand gestures and Dirk is flopping, crying and whining about foul calls. We'll see how long you guys ride the Dallas testicles then.
