That's the problem with being so reasonable all the time, durvasa. When you go sarcastic, nobody gets it!

Nobody gets sarcasm regardless of the poster. For example, see any Carl Herrera threads.

Morey is going to get both of them!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe Morey will draft both get the Lithuanian and then move to get the Guy from The Congo!!

I also noticed Gerrson Rosas in the videos, sitting under the basket away from Daryl and Sam. Maybe some D-league scouting

these players are sad. First one can't post a stamp and second guy showcases his strength (bricking freethrows)

yeah that doesn't seem like simple nerves

And if it is nerves, that's a concern as well.

Why didn't we switch balls more often when Rafer was playing?

Niether workout was impressive, but Biyombo's wingspan is scary.

Is this foreshadowing things to come? Their offense is rodman-like.

While the workouts were pretty bad, I think the commentary was more a shot at their choice to only have the private workouts instead of participating in the other competitive workouts.

I hope they realize that they need to redeem themselves and maybe decide to play in a 5 on 5 scrimmage to make a better impression.

Actually since he is the guy making a lot of the final decisions. he needs to keep doing more. So he gets better at it. Personally I love Biyombo. There are no Dwight Howards in the draft but Biyombo has all of the athleticism, size and the right attitude become a defensive force. We need that.

Edit: The 3rd shot only hit the ring and jumped out. Could affect his draft stock.

No joke, shouldn't he be in a basement somewhere crunching numbers somewhere? I thought IBM did all the scouting for the Rockets....

Also, I thought the Rockets only liked older college guys .... so why watch a raw kid from the Congo....

    I am very confused.

Come on man. That's medical grade hyperbole and you know it. :)

It's definitely a quality role player draft, that's fo sho.

Morey is right when he says that Donatas' workout is pretty unneccesary. He has been scouted so much in the past three years that you pretty much already know what he brings to the table. He just clearly was striken by nerves here.

His mechanics, and footwork look solid. He has a high, quick release, body is squared, good rotation... he just seemed irked by the situation. If this guy drops to the 20's because of these kinds of workouts then that only works to the benefit of the Rockets if they can get him with the 23rd pick. However, I doubt he falls that far.

Biyombo however.... dear God. They weren't lying when they said he has virtually no offensive ability. Defensively, its really hard to see his impact until you get him in a real live game situation. Given the timing, I really dont see this being a Morey pick when there will be so much better there at the 14th pick. He just seems to be too much of a gamble to even be in the first round in my opinion. I know he will go at least in the mid 1st round, but I just dont see it other than for a blocked shot or two.

Part of the reason for the workouts,is to see their stamina, fitness and nerve under the pressure of the scouts, coaches etc. Obviously it's only a small part of the evaluation, but it is important.
