man, they weren't only yelling it in Shanghai, they were yelling it at the Compaq Center too... I yelled, "pass the ball" quite a few times myself! The Compaq Center crowd loved it when Ming got the ball, they would go nuts and cheer and when he scored they practically raised the roof!! It was a great night and if every game will be like that, what a season!!!

Yep, the Shanghai people aren't alone. When the Rocket guards get more comfortable with a post presence they will start going to Ming more and more as the season goes on. I don't think that it's any question that the Rockets offense should eventually go thru Ming. His passing is unbelievable for a big man and with the exception of a few turnovers it seems that good things happen when he gets the ball. The turnovers should eventually decrease as he gets more acclimated to the NBA.

Yeah. You'd think that Ming jerseys would be pretty popular in China. I guess they haven't come out on sale yet.

It is really a shame to the Huston Rockets and Rudy that so many people around the world watched and knew there was no team ball palyed by the rockets. Many people came to watch how Yao plays, yet they just saw others refused to pass to him while he was open for easy baskets. The rocket seemed to play 2 guards vs. 5 men and Rudy seemed to be satisfied with that. I hate to see others asking whether SF and Cat are good temmates, whether Rudy is a good coach, and whether Yao'd better not picked by the Rockets. But, what you are going to say after watching the games?

SF is a great player, but last night he was keeping battling with Linsey Hunter, god, no team play in the games. That should be the reason for pool tickets sales in last year.

I may be in the minority here, but shooting guards are supposed to shoot. When is the last time you saw a shooting guard with a ton of assists...

I'm not saying that mobley's lack of passing is helping the team, I'm just saying that shooting guards don't pass. It's part of their genetic makeup.

Mobley could become a great player if he would pass, no doubt, because those multi-skilled players are the great ones (Ming). But he's your typical shooting guard so I'm not expecting him to pass.

But there are some shooting guards who get good assists averages.

    McGrady, Barry, Bryant....

    ...Francis....
