The all protein diet does work in the short term I have found. I am very thick (5'10, 195) and I have done the all pretein thing a couple times for 2-3 weeks. It works, I lost 18 pounds in 3 weeks the first time and later did it before going on vacation and lost 14 pounds in 2 weeks. Problem is the weight comes back on. Maybe it's just me but I love my carbs (bread and pasta and beer!!!) I feel soory for the girl. Bad things is I know an ex-trainer for OSU and he said alot of the athlets at the University are put on the exact same diet to cut weight. He did caution to not be on it for over 3 weeks, at that point most of your excess fat is gone and it's all muscle that gets burned.
