Big E was no more selfish than Hakeem was in his early years, for the very same reasons (lack of talent among the other starters, could take and make difficult shots, ...) Big E did go on to be a team player with the Washington Bullets. He has the rings to show for it (again just like Hakeem). BTW, the biggest rival for the Rockets while Newlin played was the Bullets. Newlin chose McHale over Karla, since Karla does not play defense. I think Bird should also not make team since he sucked on D as well (but at least he tried). My choice for the best NBA starting 5: 5: Kareem 4: Big E 3: Dr J 2: Air 1: Magic (with Oscar Robertson a close second) ------------------
