Even with our depleted frontcourt and inexperience:

    Cato is 3rd @ 3.5

    Eddie is 9th @ 3.0

    Steve is 31st @ 1.5

and we don't have Yao Ming up to speed, KT, MT, Rice and TMo!

Hey I'm trying to be positive... :D

Good point Cato has been very much the enforcer that we were hoping to find thus far he seems to be, "A diamond in the rough", here is hoping that things pick up.

Yeah, it seems as though Cato is timing his blocks (and rebounds)
    better.

He's up in the air on rebounds when the other guy is on the way down
(Cato is meeting the ball in the air, not on the way down).

I posted this in another thread... http://207.44.140.146/php3/showthread.php?s=&threadid=44508

Even though it has only been 2 games so far, we already have the best tandem in the NBA for blocked shots (well GS has one avg the same, but that team sucks ) . No other team has any two players averaging 6.5 bpg together (Cato - 3.5 and Griffin 3.0).

I know I know, there is no way that this would be anything close to what the "Twin Towers" were back in the day, but the idea that we have at least 2 players in the top 10 in bpg sure makes you wonder.

This is of course assuming that Cato plays like this the whole season (doubtful,) but if Cato wants to keep his starting job he just may.

Anyways, I just wanted to think for at least once that we might turn into an outstanding defensive team. If anything, we will at least be higher in the blocks category.

Oh and btw, we also have the best duo in scoring as well with 55.5 ppg (Steve 30.0 and Cat 25.5.) But hopefully it won't stay that way. I would rather win by defense than offense.

Cato and Griffin seem to be enjoying their shotblocking sucess....and it could get better..Controlled shot blocks can lead to easy fast break points,,that is when shotblocking becomes more than just intimidation.........These guys are just going to get better and better,,,thencomes Yao......

I think it would be kinda stretching it, but if we could have cato, ming and griff at the same time, we would be a great shot blocking team.

While I was watching the game, it occurred to me that it would be interesting to see Cato, Yao Ming, and Eddie on the court at the same time - call it the "block party" line up!
