Young athletic 6'10 small forward who hasn't shown that much so far, but would he be worth maybe a non-guaranteed contract for a tryout?

He can't play center so I would say no. You already have enough young bigs on the current roster who have some upside. Need someone proven now.

He can play SF. I've thought sometimes about getting him. Considering our hole at the SF, and that he has been 2 years trying to prepare himself for that position, I would consider the signing. Nash talked very good about him.

Budinger, Lee (even though not a SF) >> Earl Clark playing SF.

I don't he can play small forward. And plus I don't think he is better than Chase Budinger or Terrance Williams who are the current small forwards on the roster.

The guy has loads of untouched potential and he's said to be a very hard worker.

Just on potential alone he'll get around $3mil a year from some lottery team.

I could see the Rockets being interested if our roster wasn't so deep already.

The Rockets don't have a SF who can rebound, defend big players, score near the basket... Clark had Grant Hill, Turkoglu and Dudley ahead of him in Phoenix; and Turko again in Orlando. But he's still 23. We can take advantage of others' work with him during these 2 years, and introduce him into a team where he would fit better.

Or 25. 2 years in the league, soon to say bust anyway.

He will find several teams interested on him. No idea about what kind of offer he could recieve, but at a good price I would consider it.

Clark is a PF/SF. I've seen him guard both Durant and Nowitzki and do a terrific job.
He's definitely capable of defending SF's. His short comings are on offense (mainly his lack of a consistent jumper), though he certainly has some nice moves to build on (strong left hand drive, handles the ball well for a 6-10 guy and has decent vision, albeit he can become a black hole at times.).

He's basically a slightly better Chris Singleton, who's projected to be a mid first rounder in this years draft.

Chris Singleton>>>> Clark. Chris Singleton is an elite defender. Earl Clark is elite at nothing.

Why does everyone hate budinger? Like clark he is young (only 2 years in the leauge OMG so much Potential!) and athletic.

The difference is Budinger is a Proven player, and i fully expect him to improve his defence to the point where SF is no longer a "hole".

Seen him have his little stints in Phoenix, not worth it. Reminds me of a poor mans Lamarcus Aldridge. I mean really poor.
