Strength Conditioning

    Do the Rockets, formally or informally, have an in season strength program?

    Every team in the league has a strength and conditioning program.

    Yes, but do they have a hand-wrist strengthening coach? Yao Ming's biggest problem (as it appears to me) is holding onto the ball once he catches it. Other players are slapping at the ball (effectively) for the turnover.

    He needs to stick one of those 8 foot wingspan elbows in somebody's jaw when they do that... :mad:

    Yep, he'd get some fouls but they wouldn't be cheap. After a while, players would think twice like they do with Karl Malone or the bigger O'Neal. Yao should keep the good parts of his cultural "nice guy" mentality -- just leave them in the locker room.

    speaking of a strength program, Yao Ming has a long way to go. His upper body is so weak!

    Thanks, all...but -- what is the in season version? I seem to remember reading about how Pippen claimed to try and implement a daily morning group as the Bulls had...
