I thought Red Belt was pretty good, and not too old (2008). Written and directed by David Mamet.

My first thought when seeing the thread was Ip Man (Ip Man 2 was fairly lame in comparison).

Black Dynamite has to be in my top ten movies ever, but I wouldn't call it a Kung-Fu movie by any means.

It's just a flat-out hilarious piece of awesome.

I saw Red Belt when it first came out and was pretty disappointed. While the dialogue was typically Mamet sharp the story just seemed forced and even though David Mamet is a Brazilian Jujitsu fan the fights didn't seem that good or were shot that well.

I really have a hard time picturing Zhuge Liang as a pretty boy.

For recent I guess this depends on how far you want to count as recent. There have been some really great ones in the last 10 years and my favorite for fighting is Flash Point with Donnie Yen and Colin Chou

Can't embed but the final fight is one of the best fights all time.

The other movie is Kill Zone (SPL) with Sammo Hong, Wu Jing and Donnie Yen playing the same character from Flash Point. It has some great fights but also a great story and acting.

    Can't embed either: http://youtu.be/3-zE2YFp7lU

Some other ones I would throw out there are Ip Man 1 (2 isn't bad but not nearly as good), Jet Li's Fearless and Jet Li's Warlords.

Another movie that I haven't seen yet but am looking forward to it is The New Shaolin Temple with Andy Lau

Andy Lau is the reason I don't watch any of those movies. Always hated the guy.

    Donnie Yen
Legend Of The Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen

Fan of Martial Arts should not miss. Jet Li is the man in this classic series
Once Upon A Time In China

Once Upon A Time In China 2

    Here's a recent anime:
    Sword of the Stranger
