Crap, if he's going to be that much aggressive, Dirk and Kidd are in much trouble

I do. I like him because he knows what hes capable of and we all know what he's capable of. We never regard him as a joke or question his skill like we do with other players that make ridiculous remarks(example. Erick Dampier second best center?). Sure he's arrogant, but to me he's earned that right. He's clearly the best player in the league right now, not Derrick Rose. For all the things they say off the court, it's what they do on the court that matters. If he says he's going to get to the line more often in game 3, I'm not going to bet against that. It's true, no one in the league can guard Lebron one on one but there are other players who are a similar mismatch and offensively superior.

So, in essence, you like him because he is a very good player (regardless of how much more arrogant and douchey he acts compared to other very good players)?

And by the way, is he even the best player on his own team?

If yes, why isn't he the one taking the last shot?

I like him because he's a great players and will end up as one of the greatest of all time. All of the players in the NBA are high calibre athletes. But that's not the only reason I like him. What I'm saying is he doesn't pretend to be something he isn't.

How does he exactly act 'Douchey'? Because he doesn't thank God like Kevin Durant? Because he hasn't gotten 5 rings or scored 81 points like Kobe? He's not being arrogant, he's telling it like it is. Why should he say anything else? Would you like him anymore if he said he wasn't one of the greatest players or if he doesn't deserve his 2 MVPs?

I said this in another thread but why must he take the last shot? It's a team game, whoever is in the best position to make that game winner should take that shot. Teams prepare to stop Lebron and on that last possession, all eyes are on him. He's got another future all time great with him in Dwade and a probable HOF'er and one of the best players also in Chris Bosh. This is why he went to Miami. Cleveland's offense was too predictable. You knew Lebron was going to take that shot, but on Miami, there are so many more options and they're just a better team in general. It's not his responsibility to take it and usually he doesn't have to because he seals it up before that last shot is even needed.

    • "The Decision"
    • Statements like the one in the OP - not humble like, e.g., Hakeem
    • Some douchey actions on the court, even though e.g. Garnett is more guilty of that
    • Crab Dribble - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpQBD672HkQ - he travels A LOT and gets away with it
    • When they do call it once in a while, he comes across as whiny and entitled
    • He seemed to have quit on his team in last year's playoffs
    • He is not on the Houston Rockets

    These are just a few.

I would only add to that the "powder toss" or whatever the hell that is. Give me a break. Can you imagine someone like Hakeem doing that? You'd think he'd had a lobotomy or something.

Which makes it better... It's just very much a "look at me!" type of thing. There are like 22 players getting warmed up for the game, and 10 players getting ready for the opening tip... But hey, the crowd needs to look at me, the gesture seems to say.

It would be cooler if he would roll back and light a fart before every game. On his home court, they could like dim the lights and play a drum roll first.

I wasn't saying it makes it better or defending it. I was just said that because the media makes it seem like it's his trademark.

Last I checked, Artest and Battier did a pretty good job of rotating on him two seasons ago.

With Chuck Hayes rotating to take charges and Yao blocking his shots. Of all the things LeBron has has done, I can't understand why people are making a big deal out of this. We all know full well that no one can guard the dude 1 on 1, and him saying as much is no different from what we've heard before from guys like Kobe, Shaq, Jordan, Barkley, and Bird. Big f'n deal.

Man, the "haters" turn this place into a LeBron 24-7 board just as much as the nut-huggers.

The NBA and it's players would appreciate you not using this word like this. It's offensive. ;)

Lebron is right and we all know it, regardless of "the decision" or any other BS people want to bring up. He's the best player on the planet and nobody can guard him 1 on 1. Like him or not, that is the truth. It has nothing to do with off the court crap, "crab dribbles", chalk powder tossing, or the ****hole mistake by the lake known as Cleveland. None of that matters.
