I agree, but I'm pretty sure a lot of posters don't get this reference. So, here goes!

    1982-1983 Sixers
Moses Malone, MVP, @ or near his peak, the year after being traded from the Rockets.
Julius Erving, not at his peak, but still a 20 ppg wonder-wing.
Andrew Toney, a completely underrated (historically) shooting guard.
    Mo Cheeks @ pt.

They only lost one game in the playoffs, to the Lanier/Bridgeman/Moncrief Bucks who, IIRC, had eliminated the Celtics. Then they swept the Lakers, who had their amazing Kareem/Magic/McAdoo/Copper/Wilkes team together. Yes, swept one of the best Lakers teams even, with Magic in his prime.

Here's a box score of a spaking delivered in Los Angeles:

LOL @ the number of 3-pointers people took back then.

people already posted all the ones I was thinking about.

but when I saw the title, I said NO, and thought of the lakers 15-1.
I dont like the lakers, but I respect they were so dominant that time.

wtf kind of post is this?

I have to say the exact opposite, this Miami team is one of the subpar teams in finals history.

WIDE open dunks all day long, Dallas is a great team but people have exagerated their defense all year long. sorry, but I'm not fooled.

The boston team in 08 was probably the most dominant. THe way that team meshed was just amazing. 2004 pistons, 2000 lakers, 2003 spurs I'd put ahead of them as well.

Now is a question of what do they need to do in the final 2 games to be considered the most dominant team in the playoff ever.

Well, one argument for the Heat's dominance is that they almost beat a team that swept the Lakers with LeBron trying to throw the game

    Yup.

7 titles before even playing a single season. Debating who'll get the finals MVP before even winning the finals!:grin:

i don't know if you're joking but I do know you are a big lebron fan. The fact that the mavs swept the lakers means nothing. Its about how teams matchup individually, you can't translate wins and losses like that.

Of course I'm joking and I am a big LeBron fan (also a big Dirk fan but don't need to show that as much because there isn't any Dirk hate here). I like watching players who play the game right. LeBron did not play the game right last night, and if we found out he was trying to throw the game, I wouldn't even be shocked!

The New NBA - where superstars cheat for rings instead of winning them.

Maybe I spoke too soon, but there's still 2 games left over to prove their dominance. Lebron must play better, there's no ifs or butts.

There is nothing they can do in the last two games to be considered 'the most dominant team in the playoffs ever'. In order to be considered that, they have to actually, you know, dominate. If they go on to win this series, it is not considered a domination if they lose three games.
