McHale : I was once a GM myself Mr. Morey and I hated when coaches didn't have faith in my ideas, how dare they question my moves and go against what I envision? I made great picks which were ruined by the coach because he didn't have enough faith in my evaluations and thus didn't play the team I really saw and foresaw to be winners!!

Morey : While I encourage you to proceed Mr. McHale as I do like what I'm hearing where is this all going?

McHale : I have the credentials and the experience to understand the position your in and what you want in a coach. You create the team Mr. Morey and I will play the team you want, I will try to develop the team you envision as that is your job. You create the team and I'll play and develop that team. I am the only one who really knows what you want out of a coach because I have been on both of those sides of the tracks. A coach and a gm, not to mention I was a player myself and can just as easily relate with them. I am your man Morey.

    Morey : Your hired!!

Houston Rockets +1 more incapable yes man who is very good with his choice of words. However just isn't that good at evaluating talent nor coaching atleast on an elite level.

    McHale is a players coach
    McHale is a GM's coach
McHale is not a championship coach

However Morey is sold, see's him as this guy with all kinds of expedience for this guy see's Moreys vision and believes he is capable.

Do we really have much more we can talk about that is Rockets related? Face it, tis the season of offseason mode where gossip, questions and forum antics concerning our teams future rule. Where else can things like this be posted but a Rockets Discussion?

You should mention about faith in failures such as Randy Foye and Hasheem Thabeet

Actually, to accurately replay the scene as imagined in the mind of the OP, "your hired" is probably the way to spell it.

No I'm not baked anymore but I still think the McHale signing sucks and what I wrote will be true on all sorts of levels when our next season plays out. Plays out unfortunately to the point that the interview above probably 'should' have played out that way if honesty was the best policy.

oh but even though I'm not baked I still am too lazy to do the cartoon thing ;)

No it didn't handicap me it just gave me the balls to post stuff that's funny and probably true.

When everyone b****es about McHale next year for the reasons I'm pointing out along with others I'll be the first to cry (because my rockets who I love suck) but also the first to say I told you all so. If having little faith in the organization and instead siding with the 'realities' of the situation make me handicapped so be it but we will all see how this plays out next year. We got to stop letting obvious incompetent people into our organization because they 'say' the right things. I want winners dammit not people who make a living nowadays by 'getting along' and throwing around 'experience' or other words to provide for their ego but someone who relies on his own results to feed his ego. We need a organization of Alpha Males, you watch the playoffs and see Miami and the expressions on Lebrons and Wades face, you see pain and agony and a burning fire to get back on the court and fight more. A mindset of winner, woop ass the we 'will' not cave but 'will' overpower my foe mindset.

We need that, a group led by a leader with talent not a yes man with 'experience' he has experiences from past failures in the field pshh NEXT

More about productive talent and less about what sounds about right.

EDIT: Didn't mean to post twice

I'm just saying the above interview played out that way, the perfect fit for Morey. If I were hiring a coach I would want him to sit down and be like this

Coach: Mr. Realjad I should be your coach because (pulls out list) I have done this and this and this and this. I have results sir so I can tell you something no other coach vying for this position can tell you. Sir I'll be upfront I might not be as well liked as other candidates and I might not always understand your vision but I can 'work' with you, I have a proven history of being a winner and well Mr. Realjad I am telling you right now you can build a team and I can take your group and win with them. IF you doubt me then check my history. I'm a coach, I have my own vision and I win with you, you build it and I'll win with it. Two jobs, two visions you do yours let me do mine.

Realjad: You seem arrogant, you seem obnoxious and over confident.. you even seem sort of mean like you have a chip on your shoulder. You act as if your **** doesn't stink with that ego but your also a proven winner. Your hired!!!
