hehe. I didn't mean hawkins doesn't deserve his minutes. I throwed in his name coz he's a rookie as well, and I was trying to say Yao is not being benched because he is a rookie simply.

    scratching my head...

Good game, Nuggets. We played stupid, but they capitalized on our mistakes and forced a good deal of the stupidity. And I must say, of all the non-Rockets announcers I have listened to, the Nuggets guys seem to be the most objective and nonhomer-like. When the refs made a questionable call, whether in favor of the Rockets or not, they mentioned it. I was impressed.

Wow, ESPN just referred to Steve AND Mobley as the rockets franchise players. I knew steve was, but I didn't realize the national media considered Mobley to be a franchise player as well.

I'm glad to see Ming getting more rebounds in this game.He didn't shoot well but I think he will get better with time. He needs to settle down, get in good position and let the ball go.
It was ugly but I'm relieved that we won.
Ming needs to get stronger in his upper body so he can start handling the physical pushing and grabbing better. This will also help him get to the foul line more easily and with rebounding.

I think the media is realizing how good our backcourt is. Obviously Steve Francis is THE franchise player, but together that backcourt is franchise caliber. I know there are people down on Steve and Cat, but on sheer talent you could build a playoff caliber and championship caliber club around it. Guards win championships. I know people will say that Hakeem and Shaq won championships and made the Finals, but make no mistake, without quality guards such as Nick Anderson, Penny, Kobe, Fisher, Cassell, Maxwell and Clyde they don't win a championship. Guards make the world go around, and as long as they have a quality frontcourt to play off of teams win.

    Pippen,

Funny! Too late! He chartered a plane so he could get to Coors when they opened. This is what I've been saying all along. Hard to coach when you're drunk!

There was a cool moment in the first half, when Yao found Francis all alone and zipped a cross-court pass to him waiting just outside the 3-point line. Unfortunately, Stevie stepped out of bounds when he caught it, but it was great that Yao could see him over everyone else and had the presence of mind and passing skill to get the ball to him.

After the turnover, as they came back down the court, the camera got a good close of Francis, saying, "Yao!" -- and once he had the big guy's attention, he gave him a thumbs-up.

Even though I would have liked to see more Yao, I won't complain at all about this game. This was much better. Steve and Cat took over late in the game, which imho is perfect. The only time I noticed the 3 guard was at the end of the first half. By the way, Denver gained ground against the 3 guard.

I liked seeing Collier and Ming in together. Way to go, Coach Cu...well I only noticed Rudy chomping for a short time in this game.

Great move having Hawk in for extended minutes. He plays very good defense, versus Mooch's non-existant defense. I know he is officially a rookie, but you can see the experience of all the years his has played overseas. I don't mind Mooch, if he is not the 3rd guard.

Hawkins hit some big shots, too.

Please keep increasing Yao's minutes. Boki's too.

    Much better game. Much better.

Just got back from the game. I must say it feels good to be a Rocket fan in front of all those idiotic Nugget fans. They talk trash about every player on the Rockets, but what do they have to show? Absolutely nothing!!
This was a pretty good game despite the close score. When Mo, Rice, and Kt come back this will be a dangerous team. Also, Steve Francis may be the star on this team, but Cat is the difference in a lot of games. I don't think he gets enough respect.

    * Why didn't Rice play tonight? He was shooting around before the game and was draining everything. He definitely looks ready to make a comeback.

Anyway...just a lot of babbling here...i had too much fun tonight!!

mobley sux, i dont want to c the ball in his hand. he needs a lot of passing drill.

man, i wish he is not francis's friend so we can trade him for some team player and good defender.

Mobley is great. He comes to play, and has been improving ever since he got here. Man, I'm glad he's starting to get more respect. Can't wait till MoTaylor, KT, Rice, Morris come back. We are only getting better especially Ming and Boki. All they need is PT. I can see why RuDy T is leaving him on the bench. He's drunk. ANyway We beat the stinking Nuggets:rolleyes:  Keep it up Cato!!
