"Pull for Dallas because Nowitzki stayed with his team, never took his talents anywhere but to the damn gym every day." - Rick Reilly

Lebron is a cocky s***hole who happens to be the best basketball player in the world at the moment.

How is that any different than MJ. At least he doesn't sucker punch team mates.

Lebron and Wade were acting like they had already won the series after every point they scored. Especially Lebron. Glad lebron and his cocky attitude lost. WHOSE PARTYING ON SOUTH BEACH TONIGHT? NOBODY LEBRON CHOKED AGIAN!

Well, if this gets them more focused that is trouble for Dallas.

Why do people keep repeating this? Didnt Dirk say that if Lebron and Wade would've recruited him, he would've went to Miami? Or are yall conveniently choosing to ignore that?

This is going to wake up Lebron. They were cruising and got complacent. Nothing to get freaked out by. The Mavs went up 2-0 in 2006 and are known to choke themselves.

This is the first I'm hearing of Nowitzki saying anything even remotely like that.

Probably not. But also consider the difference between having Mark Cuban as an owner and having Dan Gilbert. I don't think LeBron would have left if he were in Dirk's shoes either, and the Mavs would probably have had a couple of titles.

Sure its a big difference if your analysis stops at the word level. But if you read into what he's actually saying their shouldnt be any confusion to what he means.

I linked the dimebag one because it was on of the first hits on google that didnt have a stupid headline added to it(nbcmiami)

    http://mavsblog.dallasnews.com/archives/2010/07/dirk-nowitzki-surfaces-in-germany.html

Here's another one w/ a link to the original interview that it was translated from. Except for the actual words " I would've gone to Miami", it reads as just that. So short of those words, which only a dumb athlete would say, I dont think I'll be able to find something better.

And yes their definetly was doubt to whether Dirk would re-sign to the Mavs. Dont you remember all the hoopla of Dirk avoiding the calls from the Mavs and how disgruntled his trainer was with the organization?

So when people say,"I'll root for Dirk cuz he stayed loyal" Uh no. He stayed loyal because he wasnt asked to join the NWO. Personally, I wanted to see him and Lebron in New York.

Olajuwon wanted out of Houston too. So what. Both of them stayed.

Just b/c you want to screw that hot co-worker doesn't make you disloyal to your wife. Whereas, actually screwing her and leaving stains on your wife's expensive sheets is.

I wouldn't call it a choke, but he was very very very passive tonight.
