I need a pair of work gloves for general handyman/around the house use. I shred the $10-20 general pairs from Lowes/Home Depot in about a month of after work/weekend work around my yard.

    Any ideas? Thanks.

I need gloves everyday for work and I just buy them at whatever gas station I go into, 3 dollars and change lasts a month or more.

What do you use them for? I'm sick of my stuff wearing out. I want something that will last.

    Thanks for the reply, repped.

Do they get holes in the leather? If yes and you want some better ones go to a welding supply shop and get somewelding gloves. Cut off the cuffs and you have a work glove with thick leather.

Good for any type of housework or yardwork. Read the reviews, some of the highest on Amazon and you can't beat that price for a set of four.

I can't stand those rubber gloves. I think they are better for gardening where your gloves are likely to stay wet for a while and leather would rot.

I may go in for a small 4-pack of those rubber gloves as well and have my wife and son test them out. And there is a lot of metal working around me, I'm sure I can find a welder's shop close.

While we're on the subject, anyone ever use a Magnetic Wrist Band for sticking screws/nails to while you're working? Very clever idea.

I've yet to find a work glove that doesn't come apart at the seams eventually, especially along the fingers. What I've done in the past is just tape up the tears/holes with electrical tape (I know, it's kinda get-0).

    This.
I have like 4 pairs all over my house and shop. I use them to TIG/MIG, carry steel, work on cars, cut the lawn and handy work around the house. They last quite a while and aren't too bulky so you can still pick up small objects.
