He's a company man, he won't make waves, unlike Jeff and Rick, he'll be more careful around the media, he'll use any info the front office gives him (or - at least - pretend to), he'll develop the bigs, he'll help expand Morey's connections around the league, he'll offer a friendly public image. It's not really surprising that Les-More hired him. As far as why he's jumping back in, perhaps he needs the money.
I like this hire. I get the feeling that Morey can use the status and ability to communicate in regards to both the roster and the league.
Agree completely, and I have no problem with it. There are so many people here who talk about "rebuilding" who don't realize what that's like, or don't appreciate that the Rockets keep putting a good team on the floor. Les will never "rebuild". So let's go long. Training camp should be interesting -if there is one.
