    You're right

    Lebron haters don't exist

All those folks talking about "tainted ring" are really just great students of the game being objective and rational

Lots of people here cared all season when they talked about how the heat may not make the playoffs and how they cry after games. Funny that they no longer care. LOL!

You just don't get it, or you don't want to get it.

Caring about an NBA news story, and the Miami Heat were and are a huge news story =/= "hate"

    Criticizing a team =/= "hate"

Liking other teams more than your favorite team =/= "hate"

Criticizing the actions or announcements of a player =/= "hate"

Noticing that the Heat seem completely joyless when they play basketball =/= "hate"

Teasing a player who misses many fourth-quarter close-out shots in a row =/= "hate"

Criticizing a player for quitting in a playoff game =/= "hate"

Posters like myself have praised so many things about Lerbon, including his recent statements about Jordan, and his obvious sky-high talent. I've predicted 2-3 championships when the season began, and that's starting to look like 3-4 championships, honestly. So full of "hate" (sic)!

But I am critical of the way he handled his transition, critical of what it means to a league when superstars assemble themselves, etc. If that equals "hate," then we have no room for discussion, ever. Not just me and you, but any of us, and that's why the only things I "hate" in basketball are:
    (A) truly dirty players
    (B) the Utah Jazz
    (C) the word "haters" (alternate "HATERZ!1")

"Haters," which most of us hoped would die in 2003, when it was already getting old, is a word that says "I and my favorite player are martyrs! I can't handle or talk about criticism, because I'm going to call all of it 'hate' (sic) and cover my ears. EVERONE SUPPOSE LOVE ME/LERBON WHAAAAAA WHAT HAPPEN!"

The word "haters" and the roll-eyes (two of your go to weapons) are really the hammer and sickle of great basketball conversation, aren't they?

Back to the OP, it really doesn't make a lot of sense. Nobody said an NBA championship would be easy. That said, it's looking easier than you could expect this year. Philadelphia? Arguably the worst playoff team. Boston? Playing terrible ball down the stretch, no center to speak of, and with a broken-armed point guard. Chicago? Played scared in the fourth quarters.
(Oh, wait, are these basketball opinion seething with "hate," or do i just watch games and have opinions.) Miami played really well against the Celtics and the Bulls, with especially good defense and fourth-quarter control. But those teams had issues too -- there's no doubt about it.

And then the powerful Lakers folded up shop in the West. We'll see if Dallas puts up a fight, but there weren't many who expected the Miami big three, largely without a healthy Miller or Haslem, and with their new coach, to win it all in their first year. They had to get their feet wet, get to know each other, and have another season of recruiting a real big or point guard.

It kind of suggests that it's "easier" this year than we all expected.

As for life in general for Lerbon, give me a break. If his life is a struggle, let's check with the 1/3 of the world's population who doesn't have clean drinking water or reliable shelter.

Oh poor Lebron, he's had such a hard life. I'm glad he's great enough to carry our unfair expectations. When I think Lebron, I think blue collar and hero.

"Penultimate playmaker"? By definition, "the next to last playmaker".

Are professional writers banned from using dictionaries these days? :p
