I live in Boulder, but I don't know a ton about Colorado Springs its a pretty easy drive to Denver and the mountains and pretty much anywhere else you would want to go
I hope you're into outdoor activities and hopefully have a car with 4x4. I used to live in the foothills of Boulder and you basically couldn't get around without a 4x4 car.
really. What are you doing Monday? My neighbors and I have a huge Bolder Boulder party. Expecting 100+ this year. We are on the course. DJ, BBQ (I'm smoking brisket, pulled pork and etc) and my neighbor convinced Avery to bring a truck and pitch a promotional tent in our front yard. Yeah, you read that correctly...an Avery truck. You should drop by for a beer. Me and my neighbor are pretty good at this. Let me know and I'll Rep you my address.
I lived in Boulder for a couple years. CS isn't the best city in CO to be in, but it's still beautiful and great if you enjoy doing outdoor stuff. Denver isn't too far away (about an hour drive w/o snow), so you can hit up some pro games there. All the slopes are a couple hours away. Boulder is a couple hours away, and if you've never been, it's a pretty cool town. Not sure how the hiking/backpacking is in CS, but I'm sure you're close enough to find some good trails. As is any city in CO, if you like the outdoors and can deal with the snow, it's an awesome place to be... I'm hoping to live there again in a few years.
spent two summers in Colorado, Loved it!! I was younger and stayed with my uncle in Greeley back in 97 98. Good times! been to boulder, denver, and CS.... loveland.... all those small cites
I've been there with my family 3 times. Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, whitewater rafting, some Indian reservation...it was all really fun (with the exception of visiting the Focus on the Family headquarters). Colorado really is a beautiful state. Out of any state to live in, I'd probably move there.
Lots of stuff to do in CS, just depends on what you like. what are you into maybe i can point you in the right direction
Many outdoor actvities. The club scene is not really happening. The live music scene happens on and off. The local beer is tasty and there's plenty of legal weed if you're into that. Mix of hardcore conservatives, tree huggers, hippies, witches, military personnel and lotsa other people thrown in as well. It's a pretty nice place to live. The weather is better than most other places around the country, especially TX. Even when it's cold, it's not that cold. Some decent Asian, Indian restaurants,. The fried chicken sucks most everywhere. The Mexican food is spotty, but there are jewels to be found. Things you probably don't want to do during your stay here... 1.Get into a bar-fight. 2. Ride around on the southeast side late at night. 3. Make sudden movements around the police. 4.Littering 5.Drive drunk or harass the women or local wildlife.
Do you mind if I ask you what company you will be working for? My dad was just there for a contract position. I went over to CS, went to Denver to see the Rockets.
