It certainly does not look like he should have been a #1 pick over Kwame Brown, like Rudy suggests. Brown overall game is superior. There are many weaknesses to EG's game. I have said this many times especially as I continue to wonder whether we gave up too much in that trade.

What weaknesses? Well his biggest success to date, offensively, is from him being set up but teammates. If he is open he can drain most shots but if he has to create a shot or be challenged then the whole thing is a joke. Part of his problem is form, since on many of those shots, he was drifting. I do not like the fact that he cannot put the ball on the floor like Tmo or Kwame. Tmo, KT and MoT are heads and shoulders over him with that.

In addition his troubles offensively affected him defensively. He did well against Miller but O'Neal did like he was not there. I am sure he is going to look like all world tonight, but I am waiting for the day when he can carry the load as a major contributor, offensively.

I'd like to see Eddie get some easy baskets a-la Otis Thorpe. Dude is tall. Why not some dunks and 6-10 ftrs? Pick and rolls, even an alley with Griff instead of Cato, to mix things up.

HP's advice is great, but coach and team could get him some cheapies, if they'd just think about it. I wanna see EG jam and get fouled. That'll help the %s.

I would be willing to bet a 19 year old power forward with none years of competitive basketball will come in a contribute more this year to his team than Eddie did last year for us and shoot at least in the high 40s this year-- Amare Stoudemire. If right now I had the choice between him and Griffin I am not sure I would stick to Griffin.

I know I am being hard on him but he was aweful the other day, especially given he was our veteran forward. And it wasn't the offense going south that bothered me, it was that he wasn't a force on the other end or on the glass. I really hope for a major bounce back game tonight, and I really, really hope we haven't overestimated his ability and desire.

Now Eddie, go out and prove me and other naysayiers flat wrong tonight.

If you want to bash, create your own thread. I am worried about Eddie b/c I like him. I wouldn't have given a damn on Cato's shooting form. I'd just say, "Dump him."
