people actually trying to come up with things to condemn KG...Wow...everyplayer has his shortcomings...What makes him great is his ability to lead a franchise in purgatory(Minnesota) to respectability...Then we he left, helped turn another team in peril into instant champions. He was more responsible for Bostons turaround than any other player..How is he responsible you ask??... The words defense werent in Pierce's nor Allen's arsenal leading up to Garnetts influence...For a player to have that great of an influence on a team, change the culture, and helps these two players gain HOF worthy notoriety...True they were already on their way to the HOF, but now its not even an issue of whether but when.... People saying KG's strength was his passing??Yes thats what separates him from other PF's but ...If a player averages 20ppg , offense is a strength..He was a go to player in his prime (which lasted about 6 to 8 years)...So IMO, Webber , Barkley, and Dirk cant even touch this man ...because of his overall game and how he was able to transform 2 teams from bottom dwellers to contenders....
This question would make sense if I actually said their defense was all KG and none of Perkins but since I didn't say that why ask the question?
Good lord what, generally the DPOY does that job. People are letting hate cloud their perception of KG as a player a la RedRedemption
I'd include McHale, Baylor, and Webber. Dennis Rodman too - greatest rebounder and one of the premiere defenders of his generation. Not so much with the ball in his hands, but his rebounding and defense were a major factor in all those championships on all those teams.
