Is this a subliminal shot at the rockets?

Are we gonna air our own "decision" on ESPN too?

He wasn't a diaster in Minnesota, in fact had some moments and the players all respected and liked McHale. The guy is a proven winner, as a player, and will have the respect of ever player in the Rockets lockerrom.

If he is a place holder for Finch, then so be it. Rockets don't hire bad coaches so something has to be there.

Again, not my guy because that's Casey but he won't be a train wreck by any means. Lets see what happens and regardless, I fully expect these next two seasons to be developmental in which Morey will set up our roster for the future.

Not subliminal at all ... that was a very overt shot at the Rockets. Lowry like the other players loved Rick and rightly view his credentials as superior to Morey's. So keeping the latter while letting the former walk was perceived as not caring about winning.

    Can you blame him?

Rick was great and experienced, therefore expensive ($4M/yr?)

We are about to hire somebody inexperienced and inexpensive ($2M/yr)

Lowry sees this coaching change for what it is, saving money. I do not think that he is respecting the Lakers since Mike Brown is a great coach, I think he is respecting them for going out there and spending the money to get an experienced big name coach.

I think the fans are just being over dramatic. Morey said that Les would meet with all candidates before they are hired and then meet with the front office to make the final decision. Les Alexander just formally met with Kevin McHale for the first time yesterday afternoon. He just recently met with Casey and Frank as well. Give them at least a few hours to sleep on it please.

Seeing as though Casey is coaching a team going to the finals, McHale is broadcasting the Eastern Conference Finals, and Les Alexander is running several different businesses, and all live in different parts on the US, I think its safe to say that they are all pretty freakin busy right now and its going to take time for them all to meet up for interviews.

Plus, this is not a team that wants to fire a coach after one season because they realize they didnt make the right call. They want to know for sure this is the guy. I would rather their decision be well informed and carefully thought out then just go out there and hire the biggest name coach out there.

Spend almost 5 million on a coach during a lock out is stupid for a rebuilding team that hasn't made the playoffs in 3 years.

I think Rick Adelman is on the market. Seems like a great fit for this team.

Why bother to interview anyone else?

I don't think he was suggesting that Morey should be fired. If anything, it was a shot at Les Alexander for being unwilling to pay the money to bring in (or keep) a championship-level coach.

Who cares what players think? And Lowry is my absolute favorite player on the team. But that doesn't mean I would want him running the organization nor do I think he has the credentials to do so.

I don't even care anymore. The Rockets can do whatever they want. Sucks that we probably won't win anything any time soon, not during the supervillains era, at least. this is like the Mo Taylor dark ages for us.

"C'mon, Danny, you know you owe me at least one recommendation for giving you Garnett."

"Look, Wyc. We gotta get Kev back into the league. How else we gonna steal our next star?"
