    Been watching a lot of classic fights on Youtube and revisited this one in particular that change the face of Boxing for good... If it wasn't for Duk Koo Kim's death in that fight, would we still see a 15 round bout?? I think later down the line someone else would probably die from head injury eventually and not sure how many deaths has there been since Kim's death?? Damn, 15 rounds is insanity.... A complete war by two warriors going in that ring, I have not seen the documentary and the Korean biopic of Duk Koo Kim called 'Champion.' I might have to check that movie out, been on a boxing binge lately...

    This fight was the inspiration for the classic song created by Mark Kozelek by his band Sun Kil Moon on their instant classic album Ghosts of the Great Highway. The track is called Duk Koo Kim and lasts 14 minutes long. One minute for every round the fight lasted. This is one of the most hauntingly beautiful tracks I have ever heard.
