Well atleast that's what I thought after watching the first game last night. I mean we all heard that RudyT was working on adding in the motion offense, but last night we saw none of it. On the offensive side of the ball the Rockets looked horrid. I mean they were playing selfish streetball. No ball movement, or offensive schemes. They were playing one-on-one.

I wonder if RudyT has lost some of his magic. I mean we all know that RudyT is a laid back coach, but the type of game the rockets played last night was pitiful. Steve and Cat need to pass the ball. Also we need to drop it down into the post more. Use the double team to your advantage! When you are double teamed pass the ball! Hopefully we will improve, becuase right now the Rockets looked horrible.

No Rudy hasn't lost the magic, he lost three major scoring and rebounding threats.

what does that have to do with what offensive scheme you're running (iso v 5 man)?

So what you are saying is just becuase those 3 guys aren't playing, that the Rockets can't run any offensive plays?

    Please......

Read the Indystar followup to the game, Isiah says he's proud of his guys playing *shorthanded*, the other team was missing Jamaal Tinsley, Reggie Miller and Austin Croshere. No more freaking excuses. Every time SF doesn't pass, it's because his teammates suck. If the only teammate that's worth enough to pass to is Hakeem Olajuwon, we are going to wait a long time before SF learns to pass, maybe forever.

Exactly, yesterday's game is the performance of "stars" individually, not a team. So at present, Rocket is not a team, but a mixture of "stars". If One-on-one, Rocket might not lost.

Rudy is a terrible coach when it comes to play calling. I think that he is a good guy, but an overrated coach.

Rudy needs to stop his slow involment of rookies and get them right into the mix, I bet any other team would have given Ming 24 minutes in his first game and set a few plays for him, Rudy sux.

    Agree 110%.

The injury excuse must desist from existence. We've used that in 99-00, and 01-02. This year, is put up or shut up. I'm tired of "moral victories" that only seperate us farther from our goal of making the playoffs.

What makes the injury excuse more lame, is the fact that we played a shorthanded Indy team, who is nothing better than average, and that's when they are fully healty.

Playoff teams don't make the playoffs by blaming excuses, lack of practice, etc.

The Rockets are sadly sounding the like the Golden State Warriors of the last few years, where their ineptitude was blamed on youth or injury. Guess where those excuses have gotten them? The lottery.

No team in the NBA will feel sorry for the Rockets and their injuries, so why even bring it up?

Thanks for not let excuses cloud the common sense issue. Rudy never had any magic! He had Cheney's team and Hakeem. He doesn't know any plays. Period!

Exactly. With Mo Taylor and kenny Thomas in 2000-2001, the Rockets won 45 games. Nobody was complaining about Rudy T then.

Rudy T bashing threads suck. especially after one game in which Yao Ming had only played in 2 preseason games. Lets be more reasonable ok.

    Reason,

That is what Rudy is suppose to do. He has this drinking buddy image and uses this to fool people that he can coach. Too much patience with him. Cheney didn't get this honeymoon. Rudy also doesn't have any teaching skills or substitution patterns. He makes $4M! Overrated is being nice. He's horrible! Ming will suffer if Rudy stays.

I really hope Rudy have a game plan that we all don't know yet. Otherwise, we need a new game plan that would utilize both the vets and rookies effectively. This is an investment Rockets have to make. Use the new blood! And at times we may loose but so what, scacrafic has to be made.

You guys should feal bad about what you are saying. You will regret it to when they start winning.

What are you going to complain about then. Francis only had 8 assists not 10 like Jason Kidd. Griffin had 10 rebounds and 5 blocks 2 assists but he only shot 35% from the field, man he sucks he is already 20 years old he should be shooting 60% from the field as good as he is.

The Rockets won 2 chamionships in a row. Then tried to get back after that and almost getting there a couple times. Then they started to rebuild while still playing fairly competitive. And now have a very young team.

You people sit there and way Way WAY over anylyze the Rockets. There freaking young players trying to get experience. Out of the players they played last night they have a combined 15 years or so of experience. And that is out of 9 or 10 players they played.

WHAT DO YOU THINK EVERYTHING WILL GO PERFECTLY. THAT ALL THE PLAYERS WILL LISTEN TO EXACTLY WHAT THE COACH SAYS. YOU PEOPLE EXPECT WAY TO MUCH.

Just wait and enjoy the team. Watch them get better. I promise you they will get better, and be very good for quite a long time. But dont expect there not to be some bumps along the road.

And dont reply and say well they should of done this or that. I wish every person on this forum could read this, it might knock some sense back into some of the people around here.

Ive read people on here that have said we should trade Francis, we should trade Yao Ming for J' Oneal, or this one Rudy T. sucks.
And this is after 1 game. Im new to this forum but im starting to think that from what im hearing there must be a lot of 13 yr. old kids on here just ranting.

Sorry I had to type all this but I had to get it off my back.
