While Cuban is a boisterous blowhard, I wish he was the Rocket's owner.

He is a great owner and shrewed businessman.

Was he at court side today? Didn't see him celebrate with the team...

I have to admire the way he's stuck by Nowitzki through all these seasons. After embarrassing playoff collapses, I think some owners would have questioned whether they had the right franchise player.

But Cuban has never once shown doubt that Nowitzki is a key component to a championship team. That kind of loyalty is a reason Dirk decided to take less money to stay with the Mavs IMO.

Sometimes he acts like an overgrown kid but hey, it is his toy and he can do what he wants.

The Mavs are anything BUT a first class team. I feel like some of you need to move to Dallas and be Mavs fans.

I live in Sac and I'm a Rocket fan so that Dallas hate thing don't mean didly to me. Mavs have a much better Front Office than the Rockets.

Being robbed in the first round, 2005 playoffs is all you need to remember. That and the fact that the Mavs stand for everything a good basketball team DOES NOT stand for should be enough for a Rockets fan.

we got screwed over in one game, but we got blown out in game 7.the Rockets of 90s got screwed over by the refs many times, but they came through, that's why it's called clutch city.

Also, it's been 6 years and the Mavs have done much better than us.

You can hate the city of Dallas, but that has nothing to do with them being a stable franchise and great place for free agents to play.

Surrounding a Top 25 All-Time player with inconsistent shooters that happen to be hot during this playoff run does not make the Mavs a "first class team."

We got screwed a little more than just one game...but I see your point. Their fans and the city is enough to hate 'em, let alone their players...but I'm sure I'll have a few that will disagree.

Hate the team, not the owner.

And sure Dallas were favored by the refs and was a huge part in a couple of games they won against us.

But who was the one who made it all happen? Mark Cuban's whining

If only our owner was as vocal and passionate as Mark Cuban.

If you hate them because they are Dallas that's fine, but don't think they are not a well run organization.

Personally, I was over the Rockets 2005 team after we lost game 7 by a billion points. That team wasn't clutch and it was proven by their game 7 loss to Utah series. Can't blame Cuban for that choke job.

What exactly do you not like about that team? let's just think about what they have.

1 hall of fame point guard
1 former MVP, future hall of famer
A bunch of former all stars
one of the best sixth men on the bench
A defensive center who blocks shots
    A strong bench
    A defensive minded coach

I don't hate the Mavs as much as some people here do. The out of bound steal 6 years ago was the refs' fault. Like tinman said, we lost big in game 7.

Cuban is annoying and childish and attention whoring and all that. But you have to give him due respect for his passion to win. You can't say that for most of NBA owners. While both owners are meddling, I'd trade Cuban for Alexander any day, simply for his passion and knowledge of the game. Alexander is a business man. Cuban is a rabid fan.
