i agree.. its hard to hate on the guy.. he plays the game the right way.. doesnt show boat and get involved in all the other crap .. great player! mad respect

I thought Durant played great defence when he was on Dirk. The refs called two back to back fouls on him that were uncalled for. I think the refs did Dirk a lot of favor tonight.

But Durant got a lot of his free throws by driving to the basket.

 

You mean the same media that had Dallas going out in the 1st round to Portland as an upset pick

You mean the same media that had Dallas losing to the Lakers in the 2nd round?

Dirk has deserved all the praise that he is getting for how he has performed in the playoffs.

Sure it was a great performance but its definitely not one of the greatest of all time.

Reminds me of those bird-nique performances....nique got overshadowed because bird and the celtics always came out on top

 

Yes Dirk went to the line a lot, but the whistle was going both ways... Durant and Westbrook went to the line more than ALL the Mavs, and the Thunder took 7 more free throws. Overall, the game was called a little tight, but very fair. Tight calls both ways, and free throws all around.

I clearly said the entire game was poorly officiated. That shouldn't be up for debate. You saw Joey C. was on the floor, right?

 

Understandably so that nobody will remember KD's game tonight.

 

I have to admit I've always liked Dirk's game for one reason: he looks goofy in his movements. He moves like someone still trying to adjust to a growth spurt. His stroke is weird. And at 7 ft taking jumpshots, it just makes it look even odder. And then it's almost like a video game how the ball perfectly arcs (or banks) into the basket.

 

I said I was annoyed right?

 

This is off-topic, but I really do believe we are not too far away. The problem is how are we going to get that center and a defensive-minded s/f without losing our core?

You're kind of proving my point on accident. He's not on the lamestream media radar, and then all of a sudden, all the talking heads are tripping over themselves trying to be the first to get his junk in their mouth. It's a pathetic display and awful journalism.

 

Did it annoy you when the media did the same thing to Zach Randolph after the 1st round?

Any time a player is going off in the playoffs and his team is having success the media will praise that player a lot.

Dirks a great player... yea he deserves it.. but imo there was a good amount of calls in his favor...anyways what yall think about the one foul he did on durant while durant was running the fast break??? flagarant or no??? me and a friend were discussing that...
