Why should he pass the ball when he was shooting like 50% from the field. Mobley played a great game. Ming will earn his minutes.

    WRONG!!!!

You shouldn't look at stats to determine whether someone had a good game or not. Cat is a glorified street baller. He has no idea of team concept and he doesn't make the players around him better. He totally destroys any cohesion the offense has when the ball gets in his hands.

Its time for Cat to go back to being a 6th man. I would rather see Moochie start at point and move Francis over to the 2 than have Francis and Cat in the game.

On another note, there's a great re-cap of every play Yao was involved in at the home page of http://www.YaoMingMania.com under the Latest Summary section.

Great descriptions. Better than what you'll read in the Chronicle. Let's hope they do this for every game.

I heard that too, I think it was Kent Benson in 1977.

I remembered when Hakeem got 24 points, 9 boards, 6 assists in his final Rockets game 2 years ago against the T'Wolves, some papers/posters said that the stat line was identical with the one he got in his first game.

    Anyone?

I think its hard to compare Mings situation to the other #1s. The majority of the others had college experience, and probably a full training camp AND had a break or two in three years. Ming had none of these.

No excuses. This is pro ball and they get the big bucks to perform. Rest in the offseason...

Collier and Yao Ming were absolutely horrible. Yao Ming is extremely slow right now. He is going to have to pick it up a couple notches. His rebounding is scary.

Offensively, he doesn't exist, even on ISO. I think his confidence is low and getting lower. He needs a decent showing - quick.

Collier is a stiff. Waive him now...

Ya know, I would like to see the Rockets get Yao into an offensive set where he has the ball facing the basket and can take some face up jumpers. I think that, more than anything, could help his confidence.

Having him dance around trying to set picks at the top of the key isn't working, and I've seen this in preseason too. He looks very slow right now. Could be he is getting timid. Somebody probably needs to quit kissing his ass and instead kick his ass and piss him off. That might fire him up. He looks way to unsure of himself.
