Maybe Shane has no time to work on his shot as he's working out so hard on his intangibles at practices.

Battier is a good defender but he is no longer an elite defender.

I thought Nazr has been getting minutes because ZBo is getting everyone in foul trouble.

Agree about Brooks though. I think if OKC falls, Brooks deserves to take a bit of a hit. Most observers thought OKC looked unprepared for what turned out to be a crucial Game 1. Couple that with the at times stagnate looking offense despite having two of the top scorers in the game and you have to wonder if Brooks is really making necessary adjustments.

JVG mentioned this last game and I had mentioned it earlier in the series - Durant is not getting the ball in scoring positions and that's crucial for him. JVG said Durant wasn't waiting for the play to develop before making his cuts and I can buy that but I still feel Brooks is not making the adjustments to free up Durant to get the ball in "the spot". It seems the Griz know where "the spot" is for each play and crowd the entry to Durant at the spot and force him to work to get the ball a few feet away from "the spot". This is why Durant has been taking 3s from 4 ft behind the 3pt line or driving to the hoop from so far out that the defense has time to react. If Durant is coming through screens too early, then Brook has to adjust and simplify the set or change it up with some variations(backdoor cuts, etc). As it is, we are seeing the Thunder run the same play unsuccessfully 2 and 3 times in a row and smart defenders(like Battier) know how to defend when they know where the play is going....

Memphis missing a lot of open shots. Lucky to only be down 4.

Battier looks lost out there. I hope he can find his groove.

OKC is lucky to be up 4 after the 1st quarter.

That was brutal to watch on both sides.

Cook better not see one minute in the 2nd half. Wow. Good thing he's guarding Shane.
