Ok, this is my first post, and I'm just getting into the swing of the season, so go easy on me.....
I'm watching portland play LA right now and I'm in awe of Sabonis! I have always loved this guy, and I think that Yao brings to the table some of Sabonis's talents. Why can't the Rockets run something like Portland. When Sabonis is in the game, almost every time the blazers had the ball, it went into to sabonis, and then back to someone driving the lane. Ball movement! Now I know this sounds like classic RudyBall with the Dream, but I don't think that Yao should be the primary scoring option by any means, but like Sabonis, he should be the start of a fsat paced MOVEMENT style that STARTS WITH THE PASS! Mobley, SF, and EG are all great at getting to the basket, and this takes advantage of that. why aren't we doing it? I hope the answer is because it's too early, and not because we're too selfish.

That is the old Wheel offense, and I hope Rudy implements it with Yao as well.

Good first post & welcome to the board.

I can't wait. I'm going to the game in Portland on the 26th, and I look forward to the behemoth matchup.
