Ronaldo in my opinion is the better pure scorer then Messi. He has a unique combination of size and speed that is unmatched by any soccer player. He also has one of the most powerful and accurate shots in the world. When Ronaldo takes a free kick, people tremor.
Messi is probably the better player of the two. They both have superior speed, but Messi is faster. Messi also has the most ridiculous dribbling skills. You can see flashes of Maradona in the way he makes defenders look. He also is probably the better playmaker of the two. I always consider Christiano more of a Striker than a playmaker/midfielder. Messi in my opinion creates more opportunities than Ronaldo. Citing the World Cup as an example Messi was actively involved with almost all of Argentina’s many goals, while Portgual failed to score many goals at all with exception to Korea. This may be unfair to Ronaldo, since Messi clearly has a better set of supporting Strikers with Gonzago and Tezez.
There also may be bias due to Christiano’s smug nature. He has called himself God’s gift to soccer while Messi takes more of a humble Durant-esque approach to the media. Christiano also has that doesn’t show up for big games stigmatism too. I think they are both amazing players, but Messi in my opinion is slightly better. It may one day be like comparing Pele to Maradona though since they both are very special, but hey Christiano can always default on being the most attractive man in the world to the ladies.

Ronaldo is slightly more skilled, but Messi is much smarter I think.

Is it just me or did Ronaldo look like he could lose a few pounds this season? He wasn't as quick and seemed to be carrying around a bit of extra weight.

    1) Ronaldo is not more skilled. You are completely alone with that assessment. He is more powerful, but Messi is far more skilled.

    2) Ronaldo is not overweight, that is a ridiculous statement. It's just you.

They are both great players but Messi I a step above CR7.. He scores and creates whereas CR7 just scores. Also Messi is very humble and down earth so ppl love him and you can tell he truly loves the game.

Messi hasn't won the Copa or the World Cup I think.

The great news is he has plenty of time. He's what, 23 or 24 years old?

But I do wonder how his body will hold up. He's been playing all year for a few years now, and he wants to lift the Copa this summer. I do wish Guardiola would rest him a bit more often, though I've read that Messi hates being rested.

Not angry at all, just explaining soccer to you, as you are obviously clueless about that as well.
